When you paste a link direct into FB, you get a nice size photo and you can add your comment. If your FB plugin acted similarly; posting a larger photo that linked to the pin and added the pins description, it would be much more integrated and effective. Most of my FB friends turn off Pinterest because you only see a tiny photo and 'pinned to such and such board' - there's not enough to engage friends! Pinterist is visual, thus is should be more visual and visible on Facebook. Thanks!

Re: Thoughts Thought at 41

What makes you important to people and why we follow you is this; your ambition is NOT rooted at trying to prove how awesome you are, how smart you are and how important you are. Your ambition is rooted in getting better and helping us to realize that we, too can get better. We have no set capacity, no set limit and the autonomy to choose our direction.

I realize this even more after reading a fantastic book; Success: How We Can Reach Our Goals by Heidi Grant Halverson. She's a research psychologist and her book is probably already on your shelf. She includes countless studies that back up her findings and the book details how to improve goal setting, how you think and how to improve across the board.

Happy Birthday! I just want to say thank you for all that you do. I have seen concrete, measurable results in my life and business by absorbing all that you share here. I've followed you for the last four years and I'm confident you've barely touched the surface of your potential to engage and change lives and you'll reach many, many more in the many years to come!

Re: What Has Your Attention

Ugh, Seesmic Web and Feedly! I watched the video and I'm just shocked at how condescending Mike was! How can he not see that you have to go where your potential customers are? I'm not an agent, but I have friends (Facebook friends, Twitter friends) that ask me all the time if I know a good local agent. I have a strong presence online and these friends know I work with agents. I get this at least once per month, I swear! Why would you want to throw away all of that potential to cold call or send postcards that just end up in the trash? Just mind-boggling to me IMHO.

Re: In which I explain my decision to retire the stripes

Daniel, you're amazing! I first picked it out for my own website when it was still Mambo and never looked back. I've designed over 100 websites in Joomla over the last several years and it's a fantastic system. While WordPress is more popular, Joomla is just so much more powerful and scalable. It goes to eleven! Joomla has a robust community of contributers that offer help at their forums and extensions to accomplish anything you can think of; galleries, real estate listings, social networks, forums, etc. This new iteration will just launch Joomla into the stratosphere and allow them to capture more loyal followers. Hurray!

Re: Five Ways To Improve Online Influence Measures

Wow, just discovered you and really enjoyed this post. However, in my game when I click on the '3 heads' button, I have zero friends listed. If I try to add a new friend with the plus, it adds okay. If I try to add a second friend, the game crashes to desktop. It's been this way for me, for months and I know many others have the same problem. I tried re-installing the game and I've tried installing We Rule Gold and Red to no avail. We Farm is nearly the same - I edit friends and remove them but they just come right back onto my list. It's enormously frustrating.

Re: Looking for We Rule friends?

Hello folks! I've already added many of you who have posted to this page and I've written down your handles as my game will NOT let me add or remove friends (it's so very frustrating!) What I do each day is manually type folks in and visit but once I close the game, you're off my list again. So, if you could add me - then you'll possibly stick on my 'followers' tab and I won't have to type in your handle every day.

My username is: Portia86 - I'm level 33 and I have a good mix of buildings. I play throughout the day, every day and always deliver my orders quickly. Thanks!

I'm also on We Farm as Portia86 - I'm level 33 and I have several goats, horses and I splurged on 6 of the UFO crash deals that give 1150 xp! I deliver orders there several times a day as well.

Let's be friends! <grin>

Re: Get Ready for Quests!

Sounds great... if only I could add or remove friends, then you'd have a game. It's so very irritating that I can't remove inactive gamers from my social tab nor add new friends. It's been an issue for months and you've totally ignored it!

Re: How Google Reader and RSS beat Twitter in some cases

I totally agree with you. Once you reach a certain threshold of friends, your stream becomes a torrent and too often you miss the good stuff. If you're anything like me, you like to curate and share the best tidbits of the day with your sphere. Google Reader is the best instrument to do this. I'm enjoying the Reader plugin for Seesmic 2, but my first love is Feedly and especially the 'Latest' tab as I can often be the first in my circle to share the best stuff. <grin>

Thanks, Loic for Seesmic 2 and you're steady dedication to providing the most spectacular tools. Other folks might have given up, but you're a total inspiration! Seriously, a big coconut with his logo and name and everything! It worked, I still remember it. <grin>

Re: Make Your Own Business Cards

But, you have to ask yourself if you'd want to do business with any company that "judged" you thus and balance that against the brand recognition you establish with a photo. The guy you gave your card to (that has your photo) will be sorting through the tons on his desk, see your photo and go,"Right, I met him at xyz" and decide to keep it. My current card has a large photo of me that matches both my site and my Twitter background, the reverse has limited contact info and room for notes.
