I find it somewhat comforting to know that there are rigorous background checks, but really, the whole idea of owning a gun is horrifying to me. So is the need, or the fear that you need, to own a gun.

I don't hold up too well in the heat and humidity, either (so am loving this spring-like summer we're having!!) My, but your boys are grown up and handsome. Off on my own lakeside vacation next week. Almost as good as an ocean, just no salty air. or cargo ships (but I get that at home). oh, and no spanish moss, either.

I enjoyed reading your stories of your renovations. And very glad it's not me dealing with any of it! I have a friend who may be a little like you - willing to tackle almost anything with her new (older) home.
