Trump poisoned the endorsement by suggesting that Governor McMaster's son HDM Jr. would be Evette's running mate. That did not go over well, and may have backfired more than anything. But for that she would probably get the nomination, but at this point she may not even make the runoff. If she does, she isn't a lock at this point.

My question is did McMaster Sr. put that poison pill in place on purpose.
