What a perfect way to look at leadership. Thank you for writing this article. I was so confused about my leadership style as well.

I think the best lines were --- do the leaders indicate what they are thinking and are they capable of acting on what they are thinking. That indicates fear, as well as strength.

Leaders should have empathy but not sympathy, strength but not brutishness. This is more a outreach as well as an acquisition channel by most universities. We have seen many such courses at http//www.wiziq.com/courses as well but from individual tutors. How long? We'll see. A generation getting used to the benefits of privatization, liberalization after cracking tough entrance exams like CAT (probably after preparing for CAT or IIT through courses like Arun Sharma's CAT course or many other from Aaakash, FIITJEE, CL etc.) are now realizing how their world - both professional and personal can't stay insulated from poor governance. Hence, you see increasing protests from people across India and there is one tying knot - middle class. If there is sustained pressure and change in political scenario, we can see some rapid growth. The good news, when things change in India, it becomes even more unstoppable. However, more than infrastructure, there needs to be an investment in more education and better governance. Hope that comes through. Most analysis of India from outside is woefully inadequate and is mostly proven otherwise in a very short time. Part of the problem is generalizing - which seldom works in a country like India. Let me give you an example. Being in the Indian education e-commerce sector, we experience this first hand. On one hand a full CAT course from a renowned professor is priced extremely high by Indian standards, on the other there are niche CAT courses launched by relatively younger talent at more affordable prices. Which one would work? Both. Its just that both need a very very different approach and strategy. As someone said, India is all other countries together. No niche too small is more applicable to India than any other place. However, you may need a lot of time to prove your business model as gestation period is too high.

-Vikrama Dhiman
Head, http://www.wiziq.com/courses

Re: Survey finds: Indians only have Moderate English Proficiency

1.7 million people worldwide? In a closely connected world - all linked electronically, it is of prudence. However, sane debate is not something we pride ourselves on. There is shrill noise around SOPA and CISPA - but there is not much that is added to privacy let alone computer security. And when the government agency use cyber warefare with Flamme virus themselves, there is little hope for the rest of us. One solution can be spreading awareness about computer security issues like your blog and educational courses on computer security.
