are they for sure? the mandarin chicken isnt the same as the gardein version (i had assumed it was but then did side by side taste/look test and they were totally different! what is happening at tj's?!

Hey Khaain! They use Tofurkey and vegan meatballs and as far as the vegan chicken is concerned, Ike himself said this a few weeks ago to me in an email:

"Unfortunately 3 weeks ago, the company that made our vegan chicken went out of business. :( Good news is that we have a new vegan chicken! While we were out, we let our customers know that the chicken was not vegan and that we would be substituting vegan Tofurkey. Only a couple of Ike's were affected as some had supplies to last them through our brief 'outage'. Currently, all stores should have vegan chicken from Viana."

So please tell everyone to stop spreading rumors and to eat their Ike's sandwiches with abandon! without abandon? how does that go?? I don't know, it's so early.

Well, you can't really argue with the B12 card and if you've spoken with a nutritionist who understands and supports veganism and they think you HAVE to eat eggs or dairy, I trust you're consuming the minimum amount from the least shitty sources.
also, you're a VERY small percentage of the vegetarian population who have vegan related health issues, ya know?

I guess we have different levels of discomfort!

I've worked in a few shelters--mainly high kill ones that use the sue sternberg temperament test like it's god's word--and have seen TONS of trainable dogs killed because they didn't respond to a gentle lead. It's a real problem.

I think when you're out in the world, there are other options but in the shelters, they can be an invaluable tool.

And trust, Felon has MAYBE the best life ever.

lots of dogs do great with a prong collar! in fact, it's often the best thing for many shelter dogs who need to get out alive. plus, i've put one on, it's not bad! definitely would rather have an alive dog who is trained on one then a dead dog because positive reinforcement couldn't help them.
