I am a student with avid reading habit. I carry all my books with me and in last 8 years, I have moved to 6 different location in 2 countries. A Kindle would be really helpful as I can have all my collection with me along with notes in cloud. I use my iPhone kindle app currently but it has already strained my eyes, I need Kindle :)

It is extremely hard to keep the camera dry, actually its hard to keep anything dry on the boat. So I kept my camera inside only. One friend has taken some photographs, once I have them I will post.

I think my first statement of blog post created some confusion, scuba diving is something that I did not even think of in my wildest dreams :)

Definitely you have a great set of fav tweets but the question is out of how many. You would have reachieved at least 100 times more tweets that this and currently we don't have any way to search through all of them. If twitter can come up with search where we can search fav or do something more (like achieve, export etc) then we surely have something great at hand.

I still don't understand the evaluation of firms specially in twitter's case. Till they dont have business model how can we identify how much a user/tweet is worth.

I don't have exact answer to first question where you ask the exact degrees. That is why I have posted pictures, so you can judge.

Yes, it mounts on your lens exactly like a filter.
You can use a regular filter behind it, I use a UV filter most of the time. I have not tried using filters in front of it. All my filters are of size that mount on 18-55mm (60 mm diameter) so could not mount on larger diameter wideangle lens.

I agree with your idea and the way you were running @Infy. But I tried the same approach for @F1 and @footieFans and it failed because of time lag and many people don't know who is messaging as 'signature' is missing most of the time.

I have been using twitter for almost 2 years now and was expecting some popularity but not of this level.
My opinion about Aston Kutcher, I do not like what is going on. It is just a publicity stunt and a rat race involved and many people joining it and abandoning it after 2 days. Real value of twitter can be added by community, when you have similarly minded people interacting. Not by trying to decide what gift to buy for someone else. What purpose does a million followers mean? Just a ego boost.
Second, why a reputed organization like CNN has to get involved in this. It is like comparing apples and oranges. Aston takes opinion from people while CNN is just broadcasting medium. And since there is no revenue model, they should not care how many people follow them.

Third, definitely there is too much noise but it does not affect me. I follow right people and few people follow me. I use some news sources, utilities like tweetscoop, filters and my purpose of using twitter is served. I can shut anyone down when I want by unfollwing or blocking them.

Fourth, yes quality information is reduced but that depends on how we use it. Having a set of people you like and following them in appropriate. Twitter is such a generic tool that it can be molded in any use we want.

Fifth, it was not Aston who made is mainstream media. When pornographers started joining twitter, it had become mass media.

@eve As per my understanding difference between Semifish and Fisheye is just about the framing of picture. Till we have full frame it is semifish eye (it is just a wide angle lens) but when we have circular edges we go to True fisheye. So, by adjusting your lens you will achieve fisheye/semifisheye.

That post was just after the Ahemdabad blasts, my mental condition was 'Helplessness', I was eager to do something but still I could not do anything. This time I was in the same state of mind, but that time I was addressing general public, this time it was meant for educated media people who were making mistakes. These are the people we expect least mistakes from.

Adding to same topic, my views have not changed but I see some small light at the end of tunnel, maybe because I feel the impact of Obama's victory (which is credited someway to technology)and the way Indian bloggers/twitter users have reacted to it. At least now people want to vote and are believing in themselves. I do not think a single post will make the difference but awareness amongst the educated always helps. Would surly love to discuss it in detail with you.

@prunthaban Agreeing with you on commercialization part. That is why we have DD, but because of poor funding people do not really care about them. But, is proper funding to DD the only solution?

I think, we as people are responsible for some part too. We fall into traps where they showcase some magic, "scandal" etc and give them higher TRPs. That is an encouragement to them.

BTW, I did not see any coverage of this on DD, how they did it and how controlled they were. But this event definitely calls for some serious thoughts and some laws to prevent any further problems.

I do not agree with two reasons that you gave :
Number of journalists and bloggers that will be there : Sure, there will be a lot, but you have your own opinion and we people like to read whats your perception. Always a first hand experience is good. It is fair to say, there wont be too much concrete and if that is the reason perfect.

Second one would be, you dont get good videos. Might be true, but we people are more interested in opinion, people you interview rather than the quality of video.

I completely agree with reasoning about feeling unwelcome and respect that.

Great post, thanks for the tips. Most of the things are pretty common but still people make mistakes, this would act as a checklist.

I am sure some resumes however good they are get rejected because of poor cover letter/spelling mistakes/unclear objective.

I liked that part too which talks about overqualified.

I completely agree with your view point. Tech blogging/reading is becoming a bit boring these days, just because whatever new thing comes up, the view point, comparison strategy is same.

If we take some article written 3 months back on some new web 2.0 startup and compare with something similar that came up now, we find them almost similar. I have also reduced the number of feeds that I used to subscribe.

Currently Yahoo seems to be bleeding, but they can turn this around by utilizing some of of their acquisitions (mainly del.icio.us, flickr, Zimbra...) .

As you said a video must be released but I dont think Yahoo has any clue what they will be contents of that, they have tried everything over the last few days and nothing seems to impress shareholders.
