So by "every horrible thing you've done to POC on this planet," you mean to make a huge, sweeping generalization, right? You mean to categorize every person deemed "not of color" as a racist, or a person that actively oppresses minorities?

Yes, that seems about as fair as making huge, sweeping generalizations about minorities. The point being, not all of us human beings are interested in perpetuating the hate, prejudice and fear that most definitely runs rampant in the world.

So let's stop empirically labeling someone as "bad" or "wrong" or "the enemy" based on the color of their skin or the system of beliefs they choose or the culture they celebrate. Only our actions can speak of who we are.

I ordered delivery from Mela once. My rice actually had the metal top of a pepper grinder in it, and I almost broke my tooth. The owner was highly apologetic and offered to give me a free meal voucher. That never happened. On top of that, the food was bland and boring. More like Mehla.

I knew when I was 7 that I didn't want kids. It's as personal a decision as choosing to have kids. So when someone criticizes a person's choice to not bear children, it really rubs me the wrong way. I would never walk up to a woman who had kids and ask her to defend her decision.

Family obligations? Having children isn't an obligation. It's a choice, it's a privilege and it's a responsibility. And carrying on the family name? Jesus. We're not in Medieval times. There's no need to continue the "lineage." Especially if that means raising children out of "obligation." And as for the parents...they can go adopt some grand kids. Women aren't baby farms, and it's our right to choose *not* to have children if that's what we want.

Have you checked out shoedazzle.com? Despite the fact that it's run by Kim Kardashian, it is the JAM!! Every pair is $39 and they are fantastic. Most of the women at the agency where I work signed up for it. From one shoe addict to another...take a look. :)
