the object "gapi" is undefined probably because it was not loaded. Make sure you have this on your html: <script src="https://apis.google.com/js/..."></script>

And also just start angular inside the init function.

there must be an init function outside your controller, like in the sample code.

My hunch is that when google client loads too fast your code that bridges gapi with angular hasn't run yet, so it just loops over and over on the outer init function.

I got the same thing. Apparently init function is calling itself sometimes, thus looping.

Well... I actually found out what was "wrong". I'm using a custom input_reader and it was requiring these parameters to be inside the input_reader dictionary throught the flag allow_old=False on _get_params

That's exactly what you described. I had to do reindex my category flat data for the attributes to output to the frontend :( That was the missing step. All is well now! Thank you!

:( I'm really having a hard time getting the custom attribute to the frontend. This code here won't pull a thing from the attribute. Perhaps a wrong attribute_set_id or attribute_group_id is in place.
