It's been a delight and I wish you Nigel, Leslie and the entire team many wonderful successes in your future, if I can ever be a reference for you, I'd be honored.

Adam Johnson aka Valornhonor on HD

Re: How Obama finally broke free of Clinton and McCain

Ryan,
Thanks for your note, it sounds like we're of a similar opinion here, that the battle is only now ramping up and will become more vigorous, should be interesting.

Re: How Obama finally broke free of Clinton and McCain

Ryan,

Re your recent comment ... I've oftened suggested to my sons & wife that they try to avoid the phrase..."you people", it almost always incites trouble. Thanks for all your hard work.

Re: How Obama finally broke free of Clinton and McCain

Ryan,

I appreciate the blog although I suspect your bias is showing a bit more than you may have intended. When I look at the erratic larger graph my sense of things is that, yes, immediately after the NC & IN primaries Senator Obama got a huge bump, followed it look like though by some pretty substantial 'profit taking' by predictors. Further it is obvious that Obama has pulled away from the other two Senators but if you compare Senator McCain's final position at the right margin of the graph to his % standing right after NC & IN it is only a drop of a few % points at most. This would seem to indicate that the primary place that Senator Obama took points away from was Senator Clinton, not Senator McCain.

I just took a look at this graph currently and it already looks like the race is beginning to tighten although I haven't noticed the 'merciless attack' that you seem convinced is emminent. I do however fully anticipate that the campaign will be very spirited, vigorous and hard fought, as it should be.

Please consider using somewhat more neutral prose when describing one of the political parties, having been a news lover for many years before HubDub appeared, and loving it by the way, my opinion is that both parties do not lack for vigor or ferocity when it comes to Presidential campaigns.

This is a very minor critique against a context of an extremely well run operation, I'm pleased to reccomend HD to friends as a fascinating and thoughtful alternative to 'normal' news gathering sources.

May you prosper for years!

Hubdub member valornhonor
