Yes it has 1/4" tripod mount. Does charge through the USB though it takes twice as long. No handheld technique in the world will stop the shaking. You have to use a tripod. I tried using Smoothcam in FCP in post and had limited success to where it looks okay at 640x360 but still pretty bad bigger. Curious to try a monopod, I wonder if the handheld shake would still transfer. And the image stabilization switch doesn't seem to have any real affect.
