Now if only someone would invent one of these filter for real life so I could look gorgeous (and hopefully not as creepy) all the time!

Re: all my heroes are weirdos

I'd never heard of scriptfrenzy before, thanks for pointing me there! I love the challenge of screenwriting, the constraint of it, but I also love the freedom of the prose format.

Speaking of format, if you don't already have it, and are planning on getting deeper into screenwriting, Final Draft is definitely worth the investment. I have a colleague who buys copies in bulk for a discount (or at least I think he still can), so let me know if you're thinking of making the plunge, and I'll trade you a great price for first crack at adapting your novel when you're ready!

Re: Peter W Knox .com

If you can make the next NY tumblr meet-up a karaoke sing-off, I will start hitchhiking up from Baltimore right now.

Re: CAMERA OBSCURA

danke schön, this made me smile on an otherwise cloudy day

Re: tumblinas. - touchy question

The only one I know of is http://ashleyalexandradupre... but I'm about 101% sure it's fake

Re: Soup

we made it in just under an hour and a half. they don't call it crawl by the seat of your pants (and the empty highways at 3 am didn't hurt).

and of course we went pat's. i'm glad to hear the flashing neon lights across the street aren't fooling you either.

Re: l'enfant curieux

In the original post, from passiveaggressivenotes.com, we learn the perp is a devoted connoisseur of cravats, and in all likelihood, resplendently toolish enough to have been entirely serious in his douchebaggery, which is where I find the irony.

I'll try reviving the endangered form of the knock-knock for my retort:

Knock, knock.
Who's there?
Juana.
Juana who?
Juana do me a favor, quit being such a highfalutin' lout, and get your ass back in here to pick up after your sorry bib-collared self?

Hmm... mine still needs some work, but let's not write it off yet.

Re: l'enfant curieux

you bet it is, which is one of the reasons I think it's so balls-out cool, despite the fact that he's on the verge of oversaturation.

Re: Peter W Knox .com

I thought I was the only one mourning this loss! Sorry that was a little long-winded, just wanted to make sure I covered it all. Enjoy!

Re: tumblinas.

Ooh yes, you're very much alone here! Well, at least on the first point. Once I muster up the courage to tackle the tub and push aside the thoughts of its countless previous occupants by promising myself a hot rinse-off shower, there's not much that simultaneously relaxes and cheers me up more than a bath.

I'll agree with your second point, though. Baked goods are not something I want to I want to smell while taking a bath. Unless of course Clive Owen and I are feeding each other vanilla cupcakes across the tub.

Re: The Hippocratic Panic

I'm you've already stumbled across these but:

If you're a Barack girl and you haven't seen it yet, check out the anti-Hillary version at http://hillaryclintonisyour...

And if you've got a healthy narcissistic streak (who doesn't!) rocket on over to http://hippocraticpanic.isy... (or whatever name you please)

Re: http://mills.tumblr.com/post/24411515

I think too many people get hung up on the finality of the tattoo itself. For me, it's not so much about always wanting to remember Don Quixote, but more about always wanting to remember the person I am on the eve of my release into the wilds of the real world.

Sure, if we all got emblazoned with the quotes we trumpeted as our defining mantras at 17 (Luckily, my Khalil Gibran has aged more gracefully than the perennial jock-classic Vince Lombardi-isms, or the "Forever Young" lyrics that instigated cat-fights over yearbook-usage rights) more than a few of us would labor to conceal our "youthful indiscretions."

But imagine if, for every time we had to tug down our sleeves in a job interview, we were reminded of the carefree nights behind us and the endless possibility that then lay at our feet. Besides, it might give whoever you're disrobing for a good laugh.

Van is undoubtedly the man. Find me another who can make aerodynamics and structural engineering sound sexier:

If I ventured in the slipstream
Between the viaducts of your dream
Where immobile steel rims crack
And the ditch in the back roads stop
Could you find me?

I've only found one I think can cover him justly. Jeff Buckley does "Sweet Thing" and "The Way Young Lovers Do" on his Live At Sin-é EP. I'll post it for you tonight.
