it has so much torque it destroys the transmission.

i predicted this a year ago. since they were very stubborn and didn´t did what the the other big plugins in firefox did after getting all the relevancy that they could in firefox but not the growth.

what is that?

a IE version.

you think i am wrong?..

just look at what happened to Foxytunes, StumbleUpon and PicLens just to mention the more relevant. two got acquired and one is on the verge of being acquired any day now. this didn´t happen until they had a IE version of their service. coincidence?. i think not.

Not surprised because i knew a little about what is going on, and people seem to forget that nokia was also the one to get a mobile live suite in a phone even before WM had it.

Nokia and Microsoft working together for initiatives is nothing rare now.

along money Microsoft wants to convince Nokia to do a High End WM device just like all the other big phone companies by offering Silverlight, full exchange support, a new mobile live suite and there are even rumors of a post of the latest mobile office (6.1) to nokia.

silverlight would be the third thing that materializes from these four in one form or another, so there is only one to go and nokia pushing it into a broader scope.

Silverlight in the iphone?, yes i would say it should happen this year too.

For those that still doubt about Silverlight getting adoption, i must remind you that the Olympics advanced online content will be exclusive to Silverlight and that this Olympics will be the most watched online even in all history up till now?

collaboration or no collaboration Office Live Workplace is going smoke out the competition in just one month. i was told that even as a private beta it was already the fifth most used office related online app.

and i don`t know why everyone compares it directly with zoho and docs. it competes directly with Adobe Share more than anything right now.

I love this new show Sarah i guess pop17 can be seen as part popsugar and part danah boyd mixed into one.

This is a huge opportunity for silverlight. i can guess Scott G must have jumped and sent a representative to apple just as he knew or callled Ray so he calls jobs. if the silverlight team archives to put the iphone officially on board then the mobile war of flash against Silverlight would be mostly won for silverlight before even it got to start.

The entertainment devices division (xbox,zune) has been profitable now for 3 months. they also now have ways for ingame,mobile and embedded advertising.

Yes Hi5 is the second biggest social network in Mexico. MySpace win but not by a long margin since Hi5 is now being used by a larger demography.

There was only one flaw Joost had from the start. their client. choosing something based on mozilla borrowed code was the worst they could do. it to miro (before democracy player) almost 2 years to get the client right, how long has sunbird being in development again?, how long for seamonkey?. what was that other company that relied too much on being on firefox only that costed them everything they had been working for over a year?. oh right, Allpeers.

i think Joost development came a year too early. right now they would have been able to choose a better platform and went with it done in Flex/AIR or Silverlight/.Net or even Javafx if they desired on both the browser and the desktop.

and i said that because i alpha tested, and beta tested Joost in 10 different machine set ups. right now, the recent version only installs right in 9 of those computers and only is able to run well in 4 with only 1 set up having a great experience with the joost client. i think you can see the problem.

i am not saying anything bad about joost service or idea, just that the client base was as fragile as caramel glass from the start.

another example can be had at Miro. it only started working right when it struck into its 1.0 version... how many versions later we are talking about for it to work right?.

I think the only people truly good with Mozilla code and xul are the guys at mozilla, everyone else i have seen developing standalone apps or big firefox apps have been a pain to use with only one exception to the rule: Flock.

Sarah, Sarah. it is ok you don´t know where Lifestream.fm is coming from, it is actually more a point of mixing bits friendfeed and SocialThing! with a little of profiliactic thrown into it from what i can see.

But everyone in the page is from Ecuador, because it was made by Ecuatorian star developer Juan Xavier Larrea.

he made Pixer.us, websnapper, popuri.us and blogspy and he has sold two of those already.

And i don´t know the guy, bt i find surprising you have never seen any of the services he has made.

it is possible that Lifestream.fm could get to be his biggest hit yet considering Javier previous work.

While is obvious that ROR does scale in the right hands when you see things like Hulu and scribd using it, both bigger than Twitter. comparing the teams on those companies to the one in Twitter is not fair.

The ones pointing out Pownce as a good example of Django, please no. while i like Leah. Pownce goes down almost everyday and is full glitches and it has been since day one. and it has less than a tenth of the activity Twitter has and it don`t even has a SMS gateway like Twitter does.

One interesting bit in Evan Tweet is:

"Lots of our code is not in RoR, already, though"

So they moved code that was previously handled by ROR and are they still moving code out of RoR?, what he meant by that?

whatever. it is also very easy to guess that even if Twitter wanted it, it would be quite hard to move from Ruby now, but they could do port it to IronRuby and use asp.net mvc framework.

so i second that idea as a good way to leave Twitter problems behind. i mean, twitter has failed all week, something must be done in the end.
