Lets not forget the pope is just another business type like oil and Hollywood and the drug cartels.
There is a demand side which keep them alive. That is needed addressing, primarily by economic organization. Until that's done the propaganda machine will repeat its homilies ad nauseam.

Limbaugh and co is a new species moving away from the humans. The brain functioning is becoming unrecognizably bifurcated. They bear watching because as we know from our 3 million year history, rival human groups fought each other to extinction. (Rape and pillage is a different ball game.)
The war between 2 human species is not for slaves anymore. What to watch for is if you can still reproduce with this breed as it recedes into the evolutionary fog.

Free will is a limited affair. It seems rather like a choice in a tangle of superimposition. These incidentally are what we call future. "Predeterminism" is an unfortunate use of a concept more fitting for the past. Free will or determinism is a scholastic trap. The existent future is a superimposed collection of possibilities which in a sense are all there and when the choices are made the path from the present will seem to continue and limit or expand some of them
