We've taken this discussion to heart and revised the record to 23 tiles. If anyone wants to try and beat the record, take note: if you place your first tile down before the clock begins, it will not be counted.

In terms of the last tile, we timed the record at URDB HQ. The last one was placed before the clock expired. We encourage anyone to time or count this record (or others) if they have concerns about accuracy, and let us know if concerns arise. We're building this site together, folks!
