I used to just plug in the names of people from http://thetwittertagproject... but that was just so impersonal, just names and your right why would I want to follow someone you are not following? I love all your tips they are wonderful. I don't think I have seen a spike in my followers on any particular day especially not on #FollowFriday. In conclusion I do try and share a small bit of info on each person. Thanks for sharing your wonderful thoughts.

Re: 5 twitter follow me icons collections

Is it me or does this page fall all the way to the right? ... I love the icons. My favorite has to be #2 very cute.

Re: Spread Your Wings- Get More Retweet Action Today

I make it a point to read everything before I RT. Unless it has to do with a cause I believe in. I still think "power" users like yourself have a greater chance of getting RT. After all, you have many fans plus you are out there talking the talk and walking the walk. But I do agree sometimes we get tired of all the RT's. I would like to suggest if you do like a RT to take the time to post a comment. That's another point I have been actively doing. I post comments on peoples blogs... at least to me it gives me a sense of "hey I enjoyed your copy." Again thanks for a great post.

Re: Why It Pays to Befriend the ‘Little Guy’

Brett once again you hit the nail on the head. I am not much of a combative person but, It does bug me that most people won't look at the "small guy". I have found some wonderful information, tips, including some great writers from the "small guy" and I am a huge fan of the underdog.

I have yet to see it lead me wrong. I truly believe everyone has something to offer and to be honest with you all the "big" Famous Muckety-Mucks have nothing more than regurgitated info that they probably didn't take the time to write. Funny thing I just uploaded an article titled "So You Think You Know About Social Media?" that touched on that topic. I do enjoy your perspective thanks for putting it out there.

Re: USA Today Launches Hotel Content Platform- I Want More

We have been encouraging all our clients to use blogs... So why not a hotels. Blogs are great tools and when used properly can give the client easy access to the pulse of their customers. What would be even more beneficial is if they have locals pitching different restaurants, clubs, etc. The good the bad and the ugly with no fear of. They can go as far as partnering with local restaurant, amusement parks etc the list can go on and on. Thanks again for a wonderful post Chris!

Re: YouTube is Not the Internet but She Has a Point

That's a great message Chris. But like anything else we do in life we always have a copy or at least the original locked away somewhere. It shouldn't be any different on the Internet. But It is food for thought thanks for bringing this to everyone's attention.

Re: Twitter & the Law of Reciprocity

Well said. I enjoyed reading your opinion on several things. I do however want to add or agree that being popular on Twitter does have it's advantages and for the rest of us take time.

I follow as many people as I can (usually add 50-100 a week) I have tried to pick new followers along the way from a RT or on Follow Friday. What I have noticed however is not everyone RT regardless of whether it's a self serving post or not. Sure I throw in a couple of our articles here and there, but sometimes I post something that can help thousands (clicks for rice) and very few people seem to RT them. Or maybe a free mammogram for a click.

I know everyone has their own pet organization they want to support and not everyone has time or wants to help every cause but if it's something humanitarian count me in. Okay enough of my rant. Again, thanks and great copy!

Re: Why Is Facebook Trying To Be Twitter?

Thanks Jesse for another great article... "Morphing Facebook" is an article I wrote 2 days ago. Basically Facebook needs to do what Facebook used to do best, be a social connection for students and faculty of universities, even the expansion to the mainstream business world is fine, but leave microblogging and Twitter alone.
Facebook, our message to you is this: Be true to your followers. Leave us to tweet away on Twitter. We promise there is room in our hearts for you too – if you stay true to who you were. A place for us to create groups, play games and find long lost schoolmates.

Re: 11 Ways to Lose Friends and Followers Online

Brett first let me say thanks for posting this. Yes, we are all guilty of a few "ways" on here. In regards to #6 I have stopped following all the "Guru's" the way I see it is I will see their post via a RT so why bother since what they have to say is self serving and really of no use to me or my clients. With that said I am curious are any of these samples you stated above real people? If they are how funny is that? lolol

Re: Velocity vs Depth

There is much to be said for both. Velocity and depth can be achieved with a well thought out goal. If all you have time for is velocity then unless you have direction you will be going round in circles. Then again how much depth can you give in a short piece. You did it perfectly Chris once again I applaud your approach with the "snackable content" including your "free ebooks like these" depth. Bravo once again spot on.

Re: The Hypocritical Digg Revolt

Yeah why don't people bitch about our economy or about the way banks take billions of dollars from our pockets and don't give anything back... or how the rich get richer with no consequence to their pocket book or how we allow weezles like Cheney to get away with all the crap he has gotten away with I can go on and on. But I think you get the point!

This country has become so agreeable with injustices, reminds me of lambs walking into the slaughter house. Sad but true. Good post though lolol I was lost after the investigative reporting started and the PhotoShop started.. but suffice it to say I constantly get "please" digg my story in my email box.

Does it really matter that half the time people aren't even reading the story? I am still trying to figure out how to harness all this Social bookmarking frenzy, and eventually I will get it. Thanks for taking the time to explain it.

Re: Il futuro del Seo nel web 2.0

Glad you were able to pick this story.
