Yeah, I read Samskara before coming here. Ultra book. I want to reread it the next time I go home. I want to read the Kannada version too sometime - a lot of meaning is typically lost in translated versions. And some of the swearing sounds much better in Kannada ;-).

Don had a good plot - but the execution was screwed up. I may appear to be biased, but I strongly feel Shahrukh was not the right person to play the part of Don - he wasn't convincing enough. The part needed somebody with 'real intensity', not the faux intensity on display. This was no match for Farhaan's first 2 movies.

Yeah, it is also alleged that Google initially copied Yahoo's campaign material for its site. I don't have the link, but you should be able to get it by a quick search.

Also FF is much more standards compliant than IE. I read somewhere that Adobe is working on Flash, but they are having problems with the media aspects as there are too many media back-ends for Linux.

Yeah they were. If Cisco doesn't defend the mark, it is bound to lose it soon enough. A trademark is supposed to be actively defended.

Of course there is more to it than badminton. I was basically cribbing about the lack of alternate stuff to do in case of rains. If I was going myself, I wouldn't think of going to resorts anyway :-).

Moreover we went on a picnic, not an adventure package and since the objective of these corporate picnics is basically to bring about better bonding between people in teams, the purpose was served I guess.

Copying Windows to some extent is necessary to get people to move to Linux - there needs to be a mapping between the features on the dominant desktop OS & the contender. But I don't agree with the 'desperately trying to copy' part. And not Windows 95 at least. :-)

I didn't know about Nexenta; looked it up - good stuff.

Yeah, I corrected it. I noticed it yesterday itself, but thought it could be a transient problem. I guess the Blogger folks have disabled hot linking to the images uploaded through Hello.
