Most of the time I'm very much in synch with my astute son-in-law. This time; not so much...My sense is that these snippets, apparently grabbed from Politico, are mostly out of context. Therein, interestingly, lies the reason that the NYT will, and must, survive. If our news becomes snippets grabbed from various sources, jumbled together and presented with no depth or analysis, is that news? ...and in the mad rush to a digital presentation, rather than a paper one, do we too easily allow the consumer to miss articles that would expand his or her world in favor of just fullfilling the immediate need for a data bit on a narrow subject?
