How many missions and how many P-8 flight hours does Michael Gilmore have? Guessing about zero. To say that P-8 is not effective for mission is a gross misrepresentation, considering it is much more capable and reliable than P-3.

It's funny how certain folks don't believe the constitution applies to every citizen. Maybe states should be allowed to decide whether or not to let women vote right?

Here is an e-mail I got last night from Rep. Larsen:
Dear Mr. Txxxxxx:

Thank you for contacting me regarding H.R. 822, The National Right-to-Carry Reciprocity Act. I appreciate hearing from you.

As you may know, Representative Cliff Stearns introduced H.R. 822 on February 18, 2011. H.R. 822 allows any person with a valid state-issued concealed-firearm carrying permit or license to carry a concealed weapon in any other state that does not prohibit the carrying of a concealed weapon. It does not create a federal licensing system but merely requires states to honor one another's carry permits, just as states recognize one another's driver's licenses. Concealed-carry permit holders have to obey the concealed-weapon laws of the state they enter, just as drivers must obey speed limits and basic safety laws of whichever state they are driving in, regardless of where they are from.

Today, H.R. 822 passed the House by a vote of 272-154. I co-sponsored and voted in favor of H.R. 822. I support the Second Amendment's guarantee to the right to bear arms, and will protect the right of law-abiding citizens to own reasonable firearms. Law-abiding and responsible adults should have the right to own firearms for hunting and protection. H.R. 822 has been sent to the Senate for further consideration.

Yes, you will still have to follow the laws of the state that issues you your carry license. No government carry card required. For example, if you wanted to take your pistol with you on your road trip to California and were pulled over by police, all you would need to show would be your WA drivers license and your carry license. As it is now, you would get arrested for unlawful possession of a handgun.

This is what H.R. 822 is all about, reciprocity. At this point in time, I cannot carry in all other states(only 24 others), which is what I see as being unconstitutional. Every state except for Illinois and Washington D.C. has some sort of concealed weapon license available.

Basically, it boils down to the amount of time students are in class learning. Other countries have higher test scores because they are in school for 9-10 hours a day compared to our 7 and the school year is continual or perhaps a 2-4 week break, whereas ours is 3 months.

I agree with Larsen on his vote for the contractor issue, there needs to be accountability, not just in the military, but every form of government transaction dealing with taxpayer money.

As a law abiding citizen with no criminal record, it is ABSOLUTELY my right to carry a concealed weapon in any state(excluding IL for now) I choose to, as guaranteed by the constitution of the United States. Saying otherwise would be like saying that my right to free speech differs from state to state. If something is covered by the constitution, then it should be uniform across the nation.

Tip: the little red squiggly line under the words you type mean it's a spelling error. I got about 5 sentences into your comment before I decided to stop. I absolutely believe that you are not a teacher. You must have been one of the aforementioned students in the Oak Harbor school system, who apparently skipped the days they taught about spelling and proof-reading. I'm no grammar Nazi, a mistake here or there is understandable, but you lose all credibility when you post something like this.

Okay, then please explain to me what exactly he has done? I don't know why you assume I support what the republicans in congress are doing, I haven't mentioned them at all, and I also never said I blame it all on Obama. But I guess that is just your typical "liberal" attack style to put words in my mouth. You've got a lot of hate in your heart, I feel sorry for you. Also, if $5 trillion hasn't created jobs, what makes you think Obama's $447 billion "jobs bill" is going to be any different?

You must be seriously misguided if you think a president can get re-elected when unemployment has doubled under his watch. Not to mention he has accomplished virtually nothing during his tenure. That being said, I don't see much glimmer of hope for things to get better if Romney, Perry, or Cain are voted in. America needs to wake up and stop voting in puppets.

I have a suspicion that the "occupy" folks are the exact same people who were holding the "Impeach Bush" signs just a few years ago. Since Obama is a saint in their eyes, they wouldn't dare say a bad word about him or his administration. I have a feeling that all the signs will change to "Impeach (insert republican president's name)" come January of 2013.
