Oh! haha more like silly me! I thought you said what does it mean "Busbee"...
but I have to side with David (shocking, I know) and agree it is much more important for how a writer's words affect you, rather than the effect they have on them personally. He could be singing about his dog and cat being badasses and you could have used the same lyrics to get you through your parent's divorce. In which case, your interpretation gives the song much more purpose & if you had known otherwise you'd be like -- oh, nevermind.

Are you sure you have the right person? I have no idea when I could have ever done what you're accusing me of-- the only time I backed out of a lease was when an apartment I was going to rent was uninhabitable and completely unfinished and the girls who were also going to live there agreed and we split up 2 and 2. Could this be what you are thinking of?
