When you download the app from the App Store, it will not let you register. It is not just me. Several of the reviews for the app say the same thing. I have emailed their support department but so far, no response.

Re: Liquor Stories | Season 1 | Episode 2 - Jim Beam Kentucky Straight Bourbon | SwearNet

John Velez...even though your comment was a year ago, I must agree. Thank you for that valuable information. I am not sure however, if an inspector should be given the authority to coerce you to perform work on equipment that you did not install.

Re: Stumped by the Code?

Well, this situation came up as I was changing out a service mast on a job to 2" rigid. The local inspector came by to look at the work and while there, noticed the condensing unit with the exact wiring setup I have just described...#10 wire with a 50 amp circuit breaker. Although, I had not hooked up the condensing unit originally and had not taken out a permit for any work on the unit, he made me change the wire out to #8 and pay for a reinspection fee. I respectfully disagreed with him but to no avail. As you may know, it does little good to disagree with these guys and even less good to argue with them. They simply have too much authoriity. They are able to expand their reach beyond the scope of the work you have done at will, and force you to do additional work, either at your expense or the expense of the homeowner. Could you possibly cite the code reference for your response? That might be helpful next time. Thanks.

Re: Stumped by the Code?

An outside condensing unit has a nameplate rating of 29 amps for the minimum circuit ampacity. The maximum fuse or circuit breaker size is listed at 50 amps. The leads inside the condensing unit are #10 stranded wire. What size wire and circuit breaker size would be required to properly protect this unit?
