Well, this was expected. First there were very high expectations that iPhone 5C will be a cheaper one, but when it retails at $733, that ain't cheap. In fact, it's costlier than the US retail price. Strange economics. But makes sense to opt for the 5S by paying a little over $100..

Very well written article. These types of unbiased reviews are hard to come by; actually got bored of the other articles that rant about app-lack, android fanboyism, etc...especially, when written by chef-turned-carpenter-turned-plumber-turned-geeks. Nice highlight about the key apps and the areas where WP8 is actually lagging.

And, such are the reviewers finding faults with a product that took some of the most intelligent engineers and businessmen! The verge is characterized by Windows Phone Dystopia :)

Every damn laptop that I want now has Windows 8 or comes with Windows7 + an offer that says "pay 'this' much and get upgraded to Windows 8". So, categorically, there's this Win 7 to Win 8 conversion happening, and I wouldn't be surprised to see such over-optimistic numbers from Microsoft.

The developer has removed the link to this ROM. Will see if it's available elsewhere and update the download link. Try one of the newer ROMs posted on this blog.

Though it's ported from xperia, the base is CM7. So, no idea why the app doesn't show up. Go to recovery and wipe dalvik cache, and try again.

What's the error message you get when you try to restore via recovery? Hope you're using the latest recovery that I have mentioned in the post?

Oops..now I notice. Thanks for pointing that out! Looks like a bug in WordPress..this has happened twice in the past.

You need to extract it on your computer. Put the folder into the backup foder under clockworkmod. Restart in recovery and restore that backup.

The mediafire link you've listed is the same that I've on the post (I did download..). The dropbox one has a limit for free accounts - get's suspended if there're too many downloads in a given day...
