Great post and I would agree corporate sites need to get more personal. We have made the switch on our corporate website and it has definitely had a positive impact on our business.

Any chance you would be doing the same thing with Highrise? Maybe it wouldn't work as well, but I do see a connection between those using Highrise and invoicing Sales they have generated through their CRM

Well opinions are really perceptions of what people think of things, which is cool, but they should not sway an individual one way or the other on being who they are. Whatever you do, if you do it the best you can and practice not passing judgement, good things will only happen to you anyway.

Great post Amber! Very positive and enlightening.

For me I am very lucky as I am presently combining my two professional loves. My brother and I own two web companies in Saint John, NB. One is Evolving Solutions - http://www.evolvingsolution... which we have been doing for 8 years now. The other thing we do is we combine our love for the web and hockey and like Kyle (1st comment) we are very passionate. Being a former pro player and still being able to stay involved via social media is awesome. We have created a couple of communities for us hockey lovers who are trying to make the web and hockey click. Here they are:
