He didn't triple his salary, the city council ALL VOTED (including Fred) to make the position full time, which is what this city needed. Lary didn't scratch these figures out himself. So please when listing thing, stop regurgitating false facts.
Lary Is effective, and I am sorry 2 thin skinned people put their egos over the good of the whole community.

Yeah but My whole problem is the best man should win without the dirtiness. I know thats naive, and stupid of me, i know that, but can't I still fight for it, the idea of it? Thats why I am so upset with Fred, I thought he had integrity, and I was vocal about that defending him in the past. Well its my egg in my face, fine. I believe Port Orchard deserves better then this. I still hope the recount proves I am not fighting a losing cause.

Hi Kathryn, I had heard that but we were not approached, but there again if any one knows me they would know that the "threatening" tact doesn't work for us, it would only inspire me to post the signs floor to ceiling, lol

First off, Lary took a part time position and turned it full time, which was unanimously voted for by the city council, as were the pay figures. Fred Chang knew this and still funded a flyer that lied about it. I no longer have any respect for you Fred, and I was one of your most vocal supporters, but that was due to thinking you had integrity. Seeing how you and your co pilot coreen Johnson took the low road just to vindicate your egos being bruised by how Lary talked to you makes me sick. You sold port orchard out, including the downtown merchants who had supported you. Coreen doesn't even live in port orchard, which is even more maddening. Tim matthes on his own couldn't get voted in a paper bag let alone mayors office. This is all you two. You cheapened the political process by knowingly misleading the voters. I hope it was worth pacifying your ego. Perhaps if either of you two were from port orchard you might have more passion for the decisions you make for the greater good. Bravo, you won. And it only cost people's respect of you. Hope it's worth it.

nope, i was right, the article was based on what Tim Matthes said
When he told me “I think a lot of voters will vote for ‘the other guy,’
me,” that seemed like a questionable basis for a campaign.
so the incoherency wasn't the editors

what a load, Tim Matthes, if the winner, did it all by smear and lies and innuendo's, fuels by the 2 very thin skinned people, a current councilman and a former chamber president. ( i believe she was a former chamber president)
Their only drive to get Lary fired was cause he was "mean" to them, so their ego's are more important than all the good and growth and fiscal solvency Lary has given the city. They sold Port Orchard out, and did it taking the low road. The two of them disgust me. and I will just say it, Fred and Coreen you should be ashamed of yourselves. I am embarrassed that I ever fought for you and your "integrity". Well I hope your pathetic egos feel better and vindicated, yeah you won, at the price of an entire community. Bravo.

I agree, I can't believe because 2 people were so thinned skinned that they would rather sell port orchard short and throw the baby out with the bathwater. If they didn't like what Lary had to say, , they best not step foot in my business because they ain't gonna like what I have to say to them. Lary got Mathes a job then got stabbed in the back, and it will be a very "ides of march" when it happens to those two. You two have sold port orchard, downtown merchants and any growth down the river. And you used lies to do it. I hope your karma is swift.

I am saddened to learn of some of the major names on here. I thought I knew their integrity. But that said, I am glad I did go with my gut and backed Lary. He has done no wrong to this community or the business community. He has brought new industry in, has plans for a new downtown, his vision of running Port Orchard as a business has proved fruitful!
Please vote for Lary Coppola.
Shame on you Tim Matthes and "people for a better port orchard" your politics make me sick, your a blight on the process and this community. If you have to lie to better yourself or make a point, then its a point not worth making. You need some serious self reflection.

I love event's down here. One of my favorite shows, not to live the stereotype, but is Gilmore Girls, mainly for the hometown feeling and community involvement the town has in little stars hollow. I wish more merchants would of come down and been involved. It's funny, it seems the business who have been here the longest, doing well and and not complaining are the same ones who gave up a monday to give back to the community this way. Hmmmmmmm. food for thought business owners.

If using Lies is not a slimy tactic, then what you use to measure what "slimy" is really subjective and not by any measure something I would live my life by. the Mayors dui, or what he spends at Amy's is none of my or your business,( thats his private life, the results of his being mayor is the public one, thats the one I care about) and the fact you still bring it up makes you just petty.

And let's air this room out, everyone, exhale. It's politics, it's one of the 5 taboo things to talk about with clients. Let's have some perspective. Jen, I do appreciate your passion and I do wish more people got involved and had a sense of responsibility for this task and honor of voting. We are not on the same sides on this and that's ok. We are both expierencing this mortal coil together even if it's thru different terms. As long as we can agree to dissent but allow the other to exist, everything will be ok.

Don't know who your voting for? God why can't people own it. If your a Tim supporter, then be a ferocious one. I would respect that. I may not agree with what you have to say but at least I would respect you, and your passion about something. Is this the kind of people Tim thinks voice needs to be represented in port orchard?
