Yup... To the 'Phone House' it is immediately after arrival. Never
managed to find one with any PAYG SIMs in stock last time tho :-(

Free press WiFi (and there's Cisco sponsored WiFi in at least one area
of most of the halls) is great but pretty unusual - overall I felt
Barcelona was a bit light on WiFi coverage on previous visits.

I used a Galaxy S back to back with this unit I previewed. I didn't do
a direct speed comparison but in 'normal' usage I'd say it was about
the same.

I agree about a 3G-less Streak. However, I have read elsewhere that
this wouldn't meet Google's criteria for access to the app store and
do make the device a lot less useful.

However, I've not confirmed that so if anyone knows different please chime in.

They haven't but to be honest the 'formal' conversations we had about
2.1 would rarely stay into territory that far ahead.

I do agree that's not great - I kept trying to do the drag-down swipe
to show notifications, but That minor irritation was more than made-up
for by the rest of the package :-)

Given the absence of screaming though I doubt Three's entire network
was down. Localised failures or coverage issues *are* the norm and
very different to what happened to giffgaff.
