For the most part, we have moved on with our lives and only get reminded of the "details" every once in a while when something like this comes up. As for what your government officials are doing, now, I didn't get to vote for them (because they are from your area), I probably wouldn't have voted for them so you can only blame yourself and/or others in your area who did vote for them. To say that I hate you is also very obsurd. I don't hate you, I don't know you. How can I hate someone I don't even know. Your interpertation of the law is just that, yours. Did I like the fact that the man who did this to my brother is only serving 41 months (Not even 4 years) for taking my brother's life. Do I think justice was served, no. But guess what, I'm bond by the law and that is what the law says. My brother did YOU a service by building that bridge. By all means if you are so upset by the name, please, don't use it! Don't ever go by it, under it, near it. He was working for you when he died. I see you stand alone on alot of issues. Don't think that I don't "suffer" as you have put it, from my views and standing alone either. And please don't think that my family had one thing to do with naming this bridge because we didn't. We don't know the politicans. As for that bridge being my property, yes it is my property as it is yours and every other tax payers property. My family used NO POWER of government to do this. We didn't ask for this or even consider it an option. As you talk about emotion, you sound pretty emotionally charged yourself. You sound like you are led by your emotion just as much as I am. I was upset that you stated that there are way more important issues the drunk driving that we should be addressing, in regards to naming a bridge. You right, there are alot more important things to do. Like hug your kids or kiss your husband goodbye. Because you never know when that might be the last time you see them. And as for everything and everyone else, think about how your actions may affect others. AND DON'T DRINK and DRIVE!!

Re: Hearing tonight at Kirkland City Hall for ‘Kollin Nielsen Memorial Bridge’ proposal - Kirkland Reporter

Well I wish I could watch Fox news but alas I don't. I have formed these opinions all on my own without someone filling my head with conservative thoughts. And guess what, I even watch the local liberal news because that's all I get!! Sounds like you are threatening to me in your comments. But I bet that's ok too. You know, I have a dead brother, as many people do, because of drunk drivers. It could have destroyed my family's lives but it hasn't. To honor those who's lives were taken by such a terrible act isn't a bad thing. Even if all of the technical things you suggested were in place, we would still have deaths by drunk drivers.

Re: Hearing tonight at Kirkland City Hall for ‘Kollin Nielsen Memorial Bridge’ proposal - Kirkland Reporter

I have to tell you that human life is more important than any person's right to look or not look at a sign. My brother was killed on that pavement by someone who took away his right to life, someone violated him, my family, his wife and son. So you talk of drunk driving not being an issue to be noticed. Well, when you're laying on the payment dead from someone running you over or you killing yourself, I'll be sure to hug a tree and kiss a salmon because they are SO MUCH MORE IMPORTANT then HUMAN LIFE!!
