Just as all those who require or think they require preventive medical care receive anything from none to the most expensive and possibly best medical care - so will all potentially "suspicious" individuals either be identified not at all or identified in some way all the way up to the highest level of knowledge which will ultimately tag as probably suspicious or probably not suspicious but still before the fact either of real medical need or terrorist attack.

Re: The Global Education Race

Yes, as university rankings establishments and the business of universities is gradually going the way of the old company credit rating agencies, their future credibility likely will go the same way. OK perhaps for the final line but not so good for information, teaching or research. Google has the potential to go where no other company, to the best of my knowledge, has gone before. But only if they decide to and harness their efforts to achieve it: locations of authors or teams of published works in a given highly specified discipline or cross-dicipline or specialty including non-academic and live or posthumous authors, or collections in relevant libraries, research centers. I suggest that the potential in mining and continuously updating these and other many points and a development towards what could be seen as a "guide" would have enormous value.

Re: Open Letter to TechCrunch’s Sarah Lacy

Like Buffet and BYD, for instance

Re: Open Letter to TechCrunch’s Sarah Lacy

Sarah Lacey's fresh post of April 17 seems to put her prior ones into perspective. http://www.techcrunch.com/2...
She seems to have been looking for new trends and new rules and not surprisingly not finding them.
M2CW - no one knows the "real" value of any company or individual - or country for that matter - any longer because there's no way to evaluate whats potential, whats kinetic and whats used up. There used to be value in business and financial information and you can still pay for it but it ain't worth its weight in bytes or pixels out there or on your screen. Look for new indicators and new drivers.
