Bob, I'm not following your numbers here. The article references 6.1% for players 50 and older, where do you get "one in six" by age 50?

But isn't that a way to pack the stadium? Selling tickets doesn't seem to be much of an issue at Beaver Stadium. And isn't there a fundamental difference between a baseball game and a football game in terms of tailgating?

You were obviously not at the game. On the final drive Iowa had a strong wind at their back. 47 of the game's 57 points were scored in that end zone.

Sorry, it wasn't that cold.

It was nowhere "feet in a bucket of ice" weather. Low 30s and windy, a few flakes, but not wet. (This is a first-hand report from the end zone where most of the points were scored. Wind in our face and it was fine.)

Moreover, the defense wasn't sitting around for an hour. The only person who appeared to be cold was Jeremy Boone, because he hardly did anything the whole game.

Come on, Bob, your analysis of Clark is ridiculous.

He was on the bench against Ohio State BECAUSE HE HAD A CONCUSSION!!! It had nothing to do with "clutch play." Besides, I'm pretty sure he could have done what Devlin did to win the game. Devlin handed the ball off a bunch of times and threw a pass way over DWill's head.

As for Iowa, the conditions were tough (very windy), but he handed the defense a 9-point lead heading to the fourth quarter. The pick hurt, but so did the brutal pass interference call on Scirrotto. (If anything it was OFFENSIVE p.i.

OK, I understand now. The percentages are the percentage within each group that make all-conference. It's not the percentage of all-conference players that come from each group.

There are far more 4-stars who make all-conference than 5-stars, because they are a much larger group. However, a random 5-star will make all-conference far more often and a random 4-star.

phil, we're not sure how you did you math, but your claim is surely not true. Can you please explain your reasoning?
