People in those communities still depend on newspapers for information and as far as is foreseeable that will be the case for some time to come. It is the case in many places around the world. I still think it's a relevant medium of communication because as flawed as newspapers are, they are still able to get to places where the net can not. It's rare to actually hear the downside of being syndicated, ecspecially when most webcomic artists still aspire for same. Still, at that time, one webcomic artist  welcomed Karen online and into this bold digital frontier. I welcome her too.
