John's article is BS. Half the companies he quotes as "Silicon Valley" have huge campuses in NYC. Hmmm.... Google, lets see 600,000 square feet, Yahoo is huge here. How is that not relevant?

Gregory, I agree completely with the anecdote /fact that most CD's have one or two good songs and a lot of BS.

Obviously the music industry needs to take a hint and change things up a bit.

I am happy to buy an independent, young artist for their one or two songs - even if I am not one to enjoy the rest of their album. They aren't making big bucks and they do not have big labels behind them. If supporting their CD means they will come up with that one great song I enjoy than so be it.

Also, I do not buy very many cd's so its not a big deal for me.
