akashic books has yet to let me down with any of the books in their noir set. they've got a great knack for picking both well and barely known authors and piecing together great collections!

so far just a bunch of random odds and ends i've found lying about... freebies i've received from clients for doing design work for them (diet shakes, sports drink powders), some random computer bits, water filters, knick knacks. anything truly interesting i'll stick in a thread on the Cult. So far that will include a bunch of books, an xbox 360, four games for said xbox, some limited edition and rare vinyl records, etc etc...

:) ive been following your tumblr for awhile now and enjoying it very much. i do freelance photography and design for a living, but do some book scouting on the side; as it happens i came across a copy of infinate jest this past weekend, in great shape, and for next to nothing.

my current reading stack is tall enough to have problems fighting gravity - if you'd like i would be more than happy to send you infinate jest on me, as a sort of thank-you for the interesting blog :)

it was five 6 second exposures in a pitch black room waving around a bic lighter. i then recolored various bits of each exposure, composited them over one another, adjusted layer opacity, and hand retouched some of the light from each exposure over my face... took about 45 minutes. im thinking of spending another 15 on it to make it really good looking.
