It's awkward for everyone, really. I fancy "is there a twecho in here?" but it hasn't really caught on yet. I can't say I've been that impressed (yet), especially with how they're still working things out and so every time I close a browser window I get a "Syncing with Weave" popup that won't go away. Still, it's like, v. 0.2 so I'm holding out. The management interface and tagging system beats Foxmarks to a pulp.

Re: Idiosyncratic Routine - Twitterbaiting - n. A twittergasm should be CAUSED by twitter, not just reported on it. I mean, what they're talking about should be called tweetgasm or something! I couldn't think of anything with a better ring to it, but I'm sure someone can. Besides - who the hell is tweeting that kind of information? They should be twhacked upside the twead.

Re: Idiosyncratic Routine - c|net Coverage of Johnny Long: EPIC FAIL

Agree, esp. the fear-mongering in the Rambam article. FYI I think it's very important to state that regulation, censorship, or abandoning the chat concept for the future is completely antithetical to what the conference stands for. Sure, there were a few "iffy" statements that would have been removed from a moderated IRC channel (i.e. public communication forum), but those statements had nothing to do with the "girl" stuff. My only wish was that the girls in the room had picked up a voice and said something; staked their claim. The silence was my only issue. =)

Re: A Celebration Of The Life, Songs And Stories Of U. But, well, I guess that's something I have to get used to. Since I've long wanted to get my Masters or PhD in a Poetry related topic (depending on where the MBA falls... not that I'm an overachiever or anything), I registered poetrytrends.org for my inevitable statistical web 2.0 (3.0?) analysis of poetry thesis lol. But, since that's a way off, maybe I'll throw up some more writing up on that domain in the meantime. If there's an audience, that is.

Re: Part II: Geez, When Will Women Stop Getting Themselves Raped Already?

Very, very well put.
