Hmmm...not sure that I agree with this casting. I understand the thinking by Lionsgate, but if you want someone from Twilight, I think that Kellan Lutz might be a better choice. I just don't think that Pattinson is athletic enough.

A good summary, Meesha. The thing is, you may be understating the number people who want to follow brands and be actively marketed to. The number is somewhere north of 60%. Just a statement.

That being said, I do feel honored to not be in that douchey category. But systems cannot remain free forever. Google built a great search engine and an even better advertising model that is based on all your data. Same with every other website ever.

Chris, there is a huge difference between the people who want to learn to better themselves and be current with technology and what Shea is referring to here. There is absolutely a place for classes and education for social media beginners. However, I think Shea's issue (see how I am speaking for her here?) is with opportunists who are cashing in on the new hot term of the week and positioning themselves as experts when anyone who works in the field (you, me and Shea included) knows that there is no such thing as an expert in an industry that didn't exist 5 years ago and changes literally everyday. However, for the layman who needs the beginning classes, those opportunists with "Social Media Expert or Guru or Ninja" on their business card are bad news. I've been to a lot of seminars and conferences where the topic has come up.

Ultimately, my master class would read like this: "Don't be an idiot." THE END.

And seriously...you have to admit that "ambulance chasers of the internet"...that was an awesome line.

Not sure if you'd like an iPad-friendly interface for the Facebook, but Friendly is a good option. GoodReader is a great app. I'm digging iMockups since I purchased it last week. I also very much prefer Twitter for iPad to HootSuite.

I like the 4:1 rule a lot more than Brogan's 12:1 rule. I think it's much more appealing for marketers and seems to make a lot more sense.

The thing about this movie that kills me (in a good way) is that it was originally written (in book form by Nick Hornby, writer of About a Boy and An Education) to take place in London. And yet the transplant to Chicago works really well for two reasons:

1) John Cusack totally nails Rob, and
2) Jack Black.

The book is phenomenal. One of my Top 5 Desert Island books.
