WOW! That's a lot of food! I've managed to get about half of it in the already full freezer. This will help me to clean out my freezer. The feeding ratio I went with for my 20 lbs puggle is 1/2 cup stew and 1/6 cup kibble(Zignature brand) for breakfast, for lunch I have 1/3 cup stew, dinner it's 1/2 cup stew and 1/6 cup kibble again. 2 shots of insulin 4 units after breakfast and after dinner. She loves it! Bedtime she gets half a Wag more, Bark less biscuit after she's gone out to potty. We didn't normally give her lunch but now we are. It's been 3 days and we've already noticed that she's not drinking nearly as much any more, she's probably sleeping in a food coma most of the day. I have to take her in for a glucose curve end of next week for a check on things. I do hope we're able to keep her healthy and happy for how ever long we have left with her. The blindness issue is something that concerns us too. Trying to keep the sugars/starches out of her diet to help delay this as long as possible.

Re: Homemade Dog Food for Diabetic Dogs

We noticed our 12 yo puggle was slowing down, thinking it was just that age was catching up with her. She was also drinking more than normal, too. We brought her in a month ago for a check but nothing was different then. We returned from a week long trip to see her looking much thinner than when we left, we thought maybe she was dealing with abandonment issues but the sitter said she ate well and never left any food behind. A couple days later I decided to have her checked again. She lost 6 lbs in a month from the last visit. Vet thought it would probably be diabetes and ran some urine and blood test. We're now on 4 units of insulin twice daily. No change in her diet was suggested, which was strange to me. While we're not feeding her big box food I thought for sure we'd have to switch to something that would help her digestion and absorption. I'll be trying your recipe to see if this helps with her blood sugar levels. We have to take her in for a glucose curve in a week, hopefully they'll see significant improvement in her glucose levels. Stay tuned.....

Re: Trump (Hotels) Goes to War with Marriott, Kicks Out Executives

Good coverage. The aircraft was amazingly quiet and comfortable. As for Incheon I can't say that I was impressed with it because we spent the time we had there in the lounge, which we thought was fine. The noodles were really good, the furnishings were also really nice. Was it the Emirates Lounge at Tom Bradley, no, but it was better than the lounge for Kenya Airways in Nairobi.

Re: SWISS Avro100 Retirement

Lived in London for a few years and took advantage of City Jet from London City airport. I've visited there many times and have stayed in properties that are varied in budgets. If you want the Eiffel Tower view you would want to stay at Hôtel Duquesne Eiffel, it's in the 7th and with enough advance planning you can ask for the top floor corner room. Lay in bed and watch the tower twinkle from your window. It isn't super expensive but could be worth the look. The other end of that would be Paris France Hôtel near the Marais neighborhood. The location is great! You can get to it via the Metro from Garde du Nord as there is a metro stop next to the hotel. The Lourve is very close and with the Metro you can get anywhere in the city quickly. This is a budget friendly hotel.

Re: How to Feed Your Wanderlust When You’re Not Traveling [EXPIRED]

For me, I'm planning my retirement. Italy probably so I'm reading up on expat blogs. They've been giving me a taste of what their experiences are with before, during and after they make the move. This gives me lots to imagine and loads of information on how to deal with the Italian bureaucracy. It's been fun reading about all the different places people have moved to and how they got there and how they're making it work.

Re: Day Trip from Hong Kong to Macau

We were in HK for a few days last month. Before we went we through it would be cool to go check it out. We weren't aware that it was the same time as the Macau Grand Prix! Getting there was fine, once there it was hell! The weekend crowd in Old Town was beyond expectations. I've never been around that many people in one place. Also the natives weren't very well behaved either. I'm glad we went, the ruins of the church are cool. The fort and the views from above the city are really nice. I couldn't imagine staying there for more than a couple hours. I don't ever have to go back there again. Hong Kong is much more exciting.

Re: Mistake Fares: Where to Find Them and How to Book Them

I've never really looked at anything like this before. I found a friend here who had figured out that we can have a couple sacks of live crawfish shipped up so we do that once a year. The strangest thing is when I lived (recently) in London England I was able to get peeled crawfish there! Our little brown bugs were 'accidentally' introduced and to keep them from killing off the local variety they are being fished out of streams and lakes. I've even had crawfish in Stockholm!

Re: I’m Done with Manufactured Spending

True!
