LinkedIn, What's Happened to You?

I agree, Scott. LinkedIn doesn't really do it for me any more. I still use it to start social networking relationships with business people - they usually go to my Facebook shortly after though, and that's where the magic happens. There's still magic on Twitter too. Just not on LinkedIn so much. However I did recently discover on iOS at least that on a person's profile page if you click the ... top right there is the option to "Personalize Invite" so that is one plus.

Re: Star Wars: The Force Awakens review – SPOILER FREE

I'm so thrilled I saw it twice in one day. I always love the Oscars and this year was no exception. Highlights for me:
- Jennifer Lawrence: wow! Loved Silver Linings Playbook, well deserved,
- Life of Pi: deserving of all its awards, can't wait to see it again. Best 3D movie I have ever seen.
- Les Miserables: all-star cast performance the best of the night. Have you seen the movie yet? Eddie Redmayne is excellent - they all are. Hathaway's win is well deserved,
- Seth was fairly restrained I thought - but mostly funny! I didn't know he was such a good singer - a pleasant surprise.
- thrilled to see Christoph Waltz win best supporting actor - loved him in Django Unchained - top movie.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts too (love your work!)

Cheers
Tony

Re: Win a Samsung Galaxy III by telling me your most interesting mobile banking story - BLOG - HELEN CROZIER online technology trainer

Thanks for the opportunity to participate in this Helen. Only this week I had an experience with mobile banking which is worth sharing.

I've started a savings account for my teenager daughter. I've linked it to my other accounts so when I log in to online banking I can check balances and so forth.

Now with the smartphone and the latest mobile banking app its all so easy to keep on top of the status of our banking. We're on our way to school this week and my daughter asks me how much is in her account.

Too easy!

I pull over and log in via my smartphone - the balance needed topping up (we have an arrangement whereby she can receive her allowance based on certain criteria being met) so I simply made the transfer right then and there! Off we went and made it to school on time.

The convenience that mobilie technology offers us is so exciting - I can only imagine what's next - something like voice activated online banking would be nice!

Thanks again for the opportunity to share this story Helen.

Cheers!
Tony Hollingsworth

Re: Celebrating and reflecting on 10 years of blogging

Ross, I have always enjoyed your blog and look forward to another 10 years.
