Oh Pips! I love this idea. I have my old Womans Weekly box given to me by my Granny-In-Law. It's fantastic.
Last night I made steak and mushroom pie. I did my message to my love on top, the mixture was all thick and rich...it came out of the oven and was swimming. It was so watery, but I couldn't thicken it up because it was all tucked up neatly underneath it's pastry top. Oh well. I just added more bread to the table.
You live and learn and when I find out what I did wrong, I will make the note in the margin for my future generations to see my recipe card and go "the old bag added two cups of water instead of one. Crazy old lady."

I love India and Indians and Indian food!
I live in Upwey and are surrounded by two great places - Saffron Cottage in Tecome and the Tandoori Plaze in Belgrave. Both so good.
I also found a fantastic supermarket just for Indian supplies and food - they even sell Bollywood DVD's, with a little indian food court in the front called MKS Indian Groceries in Dandenong. It is just down the road from Savers, so I look for treasure and then go for a curry. Such a great Sunday!

I love chops Pip! When I was pregnant with both Elton and Audrey, I liked to eat burnt chops. Just a plate of black, crispy chops. mmmmmm. I don't know what that means.
When I forget to put the bread maker on, I have cous cous with my chops. Also a good juice soaker upper.
Did you see the beautiful sunshine granny square quilt on Alicia's blog? I purchased the pattern and am going to work on this for your granny pool. I will just have to get the hang on using that teeny hook. http://rosylittlethings.typ...

Snippy, big boot people are just a pain in the rear....and they will ALWAYS be snippy, big boot people. Grumps as my Nan used to say. What grumps!
I think you are amazing to have your own book. It doesn't matter if you don't burn past in a ferrari from the proceeds - you have a real live book and I think that is so much better.
I have an idea about a book for autistic children that I think is rather darn good and I have been scribbling notes. Thank you for the tips Pips!

Thanks heaps Pip! I have been holding my yarn all wrong, which now explains why my granny sqaures are all different shapes. I am going to sit on the couch tonight with a glass of wine, my hook and wool and the lap top so I can study this and watch Ghost. My yarn might be tear-stained but that's ok.

What a great blog! Another one to add to the collection....and I love that there is man input. I love my sisters, but it's nice to have a male perspective on things now and again, especially in the craft world. It's a nice change.

And I also have to say - thinking of you and your family today Pip.
I don't know the point in time when it all changes, but close people who died when I was young are remembered more vividly by me, then when I was older.
Maybe you love with a more open heart when you are little. You have no cares or worries and so you remember the little details. It doesn't mean you don't love less when you are older. It's just different. You accept that people die, but when you are young you think people will live forever.
You will know what to do and how to comfort your boys because you are a top Mum.

My sister and I had bunk beds and she always had the top bed. I was always scared of her hanging her head over the side. I told her she had to give me warning before peering down at me....and I always have had a night drink since I was a kid (I drink like a fish) and I was always scared of bugs crawling in. Mum had to give me a drink with a coaster on the top of the glass and to this day, I still do this. My husband thinks it's hilarious and strange.

I love Bill Murray too! They say he is awesome in "real life". Apparently he turns up at random house parties. Imagine that!
I love Wes Anderson, Jamie Oliver, Audrey Hepburn, Angus and Julia Stone, Ellen, Nigella, Jason Schwartzman, Lisa Mitchell and Eric Bana. I wonder where he lives in Melbs? Does he need sugar?

Hello Ari! You are adorable and I love your curls.
I have an almost 3 year old daughter, and my son is in the last month of being 3. My favourite sneakers are 3 because I got them after my pregnant feet deflated. I have 3 birth marks and sometimes I feel like I only have 3 brain cells.
We love you and your wonderful crafty haven.

Oh Pip...I love everything you do. I totally agree! "Tired and Inspired" should be the new "Keep Calm and Carry On" saying.....

I am working on a christmas summer quilt inspired by your beautiful throw....and sewing up my hubby's pants. He had a rip in his bum cheekular region. Doing too many splits I say.
