The author / filmmaker is telling a very personal story. Despite the films shortcomings and lack of slick professional actors there is a lot of heart. Great review - good film. Find it and watch it!

Re: Yatharth Ratnum Rastogi

There is a general appeal out to help Yatharth Ratnum Rastogi get to the Young Artist Awards in Hollywood. Since the awards are on the 11th, at this point it is too late to take general donations. The best way to help is direct sponsorship of Yatharth to the Award show. He wants to sing a song called "My Desi Girl" because part of the song is in English.

Looks like his Visa and other paperwork is completed -- sponsorship will also be needed for a family member escort.

If anyone has connection to Airlines or TV news organizations or corporate sponsorship that would be helpful. I have met Vlad and his sweet personality comes out in this interview. He's one of the hardest working kids in the business. There are 3-4 hours of rehearsal and music lessons after school everyday and on the weekends. Before going to concerts monthly or doing TV shows, Vlad and the boys must complete all their school work for the time they are away. This includes coming to America. They had to complete 10-days of school work for the time they were away in the states. His US management tells me that Vlad and Street Magic have just completed recording a new CD that will be available soon. And Vlad is working on two new English songs along with Misha. So when Vlad says he doesn't have much free time he means it. Thanks for the interview.

Re: Den sidste viking

I was absolutely enthralled by this film and had to see it a second time in a row. I agree with you that this is a masterpiece. The strength for me is that the story isn't neatly framed with a beginning and an end. No happy endings for Harald, just a coming-of-age moment that took me by surprise. Thanks for sharing this great film.

Re: My photos: Tenerife

I'm only just begenning to get this this section of your site... Very nice work... and such a good eye for composition. Thanks for sharing

Re: Yatharth Ratnum Rastogi

I'm so glad you profiled this wonderful singer.... I think he's amazing. Look for a possible Young Artist Award nomination for Ratnum in an International Catagory, or International New Artist.

Re: My photos

Nice work Skykid....

Re: Apology to Josh Fleischman

The story is impossible to figure out and I think it's the fault of an unskilled director. The film seemed so personal that no one but the Director could relate to it.

Re: Sandman

This is actually a student short from USC (I believe) from Director Jeffrey Fine who went on to do other stuff ion the industry. Christopher has just competed Point Break and Don't Tell Mom the Babysitter's Dead. Many upcoming actors jump at a chance to work for free on these student shorts to add to their portfolio. This is one of Christopher's best and a very haunting film...

Re: Ginostra

There is something about the mood of this film that is appealing. Even though there are holes in the story, the moody atmosphere kept me glued to the screen. I wanted to find out where the story was going. I was rewarded with a cool relationship between Ettore and the family protecting him. This gets a 3-1/2 stars from me....

Re: An interview with screenwriter Stephen Ryder

This interview is certainly a coup. There is a special rare screening of MONTREAL MAIN scheduled at the 21st Annual Vancouver Film Festival on Aug 21, 2009.
