Is google good or evil? The tide seems to be turning somewhat, but I believe their attempts to create patent free codecs, for example, were genuine. It's a bit late now, but imagine how they could have spent a fraction of $12B on lobbying, PR and ads to take a principle based stand against software patents?

Why not nokia? Admittedly they already got about 3 oses too many, but anything has to beat the dull and generic windows, nice as it may be.

Of course, and I don't argue the pussies are innocent of anything in your list, I'm just trying to get my head round why the lindholm mail is so important to Ellison's lawyers, but as you suggest, thinking like a lawyer will drive us mortals to the bottle, cheers!

Thanks aid, I've never before been accused of being trapped in the USA let alone being one of it's inhabitants, but I guess there could be worse assumptions. As for your link, well I guess I should be grateful for that too, but perhaps I'm too stupid to understand its point?
