I'll miss his posts. As was said he was an 'interesting' character.I'm sad that I didn't get to meet him in 'real life', but maybe that's blogging for you.
I also posted a link to that blog page on facebook & twitter as I'm sure there were other bloggers and blog readers who'll miss him too.

HI Phillip.How did it go that night? Looking at both the Poetry Ireland Poetry Day and the National Poetry Day I noticed that Poetry Ireland put hardly any effort into promoting the day compared to the National Poetry Day. I don't see why the two islands off Europe can one day unite for poetry and get as many poets and lovers of poetry on this side of the Irish sea involved.

I've a feeling I might have to call up at An Carn ( Ithink it's called) and sign up to learn Irish as I've another invite in to go to to see
"Short plays in the Irish language. The Abbey Theatre has commissioned three playwrights to write short plays in the Irish language.
These three 20 minute plays by Dave Duggan, Celia de Fréine and Aodh O’Domhnaill will be presented as public readings in Dublin and Belfast in October 2009.

The next OCMidUlster might be, if you don't start before it, about you starting to blog. Maybe on somewhere like tumblr, which is nice and quick and easy.Or maybe it could be about an evaluation on different flavours of Pot Noodle :-)

Thanks for the reminder @grannymar to ring my solicitors about a medical negligence case which according to a medical expert 'as a result of the breach of duty of M ********* has sustained a permanant disability' I'd blame the staff, or poor management for this ' breach of duty'and notice it runs throughout the so called 'health service' here in Northern Ireland.We've also had to change GP's because of poor service and travel over 8 miles to see a local Dr now. Next it'll be going private I think, because the NHS are so bad.

Barry, Thanks for replying. I'm assuming that the other twitter accounts you've just mentioned are operated by you. I'd find it hard to operate more than one twitter account at a time. I see your @barryjphillips account is active and worth following but the others you mention are missing the 'twitter factor'. I tend to judge busineses and training organisations harsher than I would an ordinary twitterer I also expect that any of their twitter accounts and websites look far more professional than a blog like this one which anyone could make up.Why do so many firms in N.I. have websites/twitter accounts that aren't active. Why have some with links that lead to nowhere, some are a mish mash of websites and blogs.Some sites have information on their companies which differs on other related pages.
I also judge training organisations of all types harshly because of a local Northern Irish charity which instead of helping people who suffer from what the charity is meant to help people with provides training for professionals who work with people who have that disability. These training sessions are too expensive for the people who have the disability to go to.There are thousands of peple this charity could be helping and aren't because the only way to make money is via training sessions.

Is it OK to be grumpy on a Monday morning?

Thanks for that info brenb. I've been following one of those gentlemen on twitter.The advert should've had that information on it so people would take them seriously as experts on using twitter.I can't understand why anyone would need any training regarding twitter, to me it's the easiest most user friendly way there has been to communicate on the internet for years. Why Legal-Island show very little activity on their twitter page is still a baffle to me.Thanks again!

I saw the same ad in the paper again today.I also a your picin another paper, you know that one with them 2 women. In the Mid Ulster Observer I have they've something wrong with the print on the page your pic is on and it's a bit blurry which is good so if I ever see any of the three open coffee-ers from Mid Ulster when I'm drunk I'll have no problem recognising you :-)

Lord T, a few more thoughts which I've posted here this time instead of on FB.

Chapter 1 - I still like the repetitive use of 'right now' and it's good to see some dialogue being introduced.
Chapter 2 - Maybe more info on what happened after the petrol bomb was thrown.Elaborate on the character more than the cause /action, maybe.
Chapter 3 - I noticed the sentence 'If I had her back, would she understand?' and am hoping we'll find out about 'her'.
Chapter 4 - A chapter that makes me want to find out and read more again. I love the comparisons between now and thirty years ago. With the dialogue maybe split it up a bit to make it easier for the reader to know who exactly is speaking but not too much so we don't loose your style.

I'm looking forward to Ch 5 and maybe other peoples comments on this too.

Dawn, if the event you refer to was only about blogging and I only checked technorati ratings for www.sensei-winbeforehand.co.uk [http://technorati.com/searc...] I'd be looking for a Big Breakfast at it.As you are very active on Twitter and other social networking sites and obviously know and show that you know about Twitter, Facebook, blogging, podcasts,social media and online marketing I'd be tempted to get up @ 6am to go to it.If it was held somewhere in Mid Ulster and an Ulster Fry was included I'd be there :-)
