We thought my father had good insurance and was in a great hospital ( as per their ads on billboards, commercials and infomercials ) His care was rationed. He died. Sadly in TN & VA profit care is more important than patient care. http://www.wisecountyissues...
The status quo could learn a few things on efficiency and concerned, compassionate health care from Remote Area Medical ( RAM ), a non profit health care system that works. http://www.ram.org They were in Wise County, Virginia this weekend helping families who can't afford the luxury of seeing a doctor.
We must have health care reform now while people are facing their own Waterloo.

As a former health care giver, I am shocked and saddened to see what has become of health care in America. $ 1. 4 million is being spent per day in DC by the health care lobbyists so your elected representative is getting taken care of and has quality health care we pay for and can't afford ourselves for our families, I know what is deemed, defended and supported in Tennessee and Virginia as quality health care and clearly profit care comes ahead of patient care. http://www.wisecountyissues... MRSA ( methicillin resistant staphylococcus aureas ) is infesting our communities because filthy, uncaring hospitals and emergency rooms are breeding them and spreading them into our schools, homes, restaurants. How many more Americans' will be diseased or die while 74 % of Americans' are begging for health care reform ? More people died in America last year from MRSA complications than AIDS. When MRSA and a flu bug start mixing, it won't be pretty and we are being infected by the very health care system we depend on and trust to keep us safe and healthy. If we had "the best health care" in the world then why does RAM ( Remote Area Medical ) come to Wise County, Virginia year after year so people can go to the fairgrounds and stand in a line like cattle in the hot July sun just to see a health care provider ??? America's health care system is a disgraceful sham !

Clearly Profit Care is more important than Patient Care. As long as the politicians and the profit machines are raking it in at our expense people, their environment and health don't matter. I know what is deemed, defended and supported in East Tennessee and southwest Virginia as 'THE ACCEPTABLE STANDARDS OF HEALTH CARE' Nothing at all like we are led to believe in fraudulent, sickening false advertising. I am so sorry to hear your health care nightmare, what you all are doing is amazing and I am with you on single-payer. It's a sad day in America when Profit Care is more important than Patient Care. I know, I've seen, I've lived and am still haunted by what is deemed, defended and supported in Tennessee and Virginia as "THE ACCEPTABLE STANDARDS OF HEALTH CARE", it's nothing at all like the health care system misleads us in slick TV ads, infomercials and billboard to believe is their quality health care. It even took the hospital three years to disparage and prove their own advertising is/was fraudulent, false and misleading. It is all on public record for anyone to see in Greeneville, TN Federal Court. Case no. 2:04-cv-375. http://www.wisecountyissues... Another concern I have is with all the MRSA/VRE our health care system is breeding and dumping into our communities, the very health care system we believed in and trusted is killing us ! Children should not be infected with this disease, I've asked and asked how many more will have to get/die from MRSA/VRE before something is done to address the issue. You get either an excuse, passed on to someone else or no reply at all. You represented us wonderfully on Moyer's program, surely we will get some traction. We need a cure for health care stat !

Appalachia can't stand anymore of The Bush Legacy of progress and prosperity, we are being bombed, blasted and bulldozed right into 3rd world America. Wise County, Virginia is turning into a toxic moonscape, our land is destroyed not to mention the landscape, our water is being polluted with heavy metals and disease, but as long as the politician and the profit machine are raking it in, people and their communities don't matter much. http://www.wisecountyissues...
