A passer-by picked it up and handed it back when I cycled back to him and only said, "Looks like the screen's stuffed."

The facts are that I can get the screen replaced immediately for $245, or let the insurance that I'm paying on it replace it (with $175 excess), but only after three weeks.

What I'm aiming for: a loan phone while they (the carrier) replace it. But I am also waiting for a friend to see if he has a lower quote for the screen.

These are my thoughts. Thank you for yours, lovely people.

(Cathi, it's really bitter pain, isn't it? It's the stuff of nightmares. In fact, my phone healed itself and gradually cracked throughout my dreams last night became increasingly cracked. Horrible shit. I'm glad all's good for you now. I'm just sitting now. Waiting. If you "know it's going to suck and might not even work out", then your faith is not absolute and so you would be a Knight of Infinite Resignation. Intention is everything because that's what defined Abraham (in God's eyes - according to the Bible) as the 'Father of Faith'. His intent and dogged obedience through faith to do what what requested of him and belief that God would return that which he loses back to him, is based on the "strength of the absurd" (Kierkegaard's term) or alternatively, converse to what is expected and is therefore a 'leap of faith'. Basically, Abraham is rewarded by Kierkegaard (saying that he is a Knight of Faith) for his intent, and not his action (because the action will always be the same).

Re: Theory Thursday: Kierkegaard and Ice Cream

NO WAI! I can't believe that something he said pertaining to said knights would have stuck in your memory without his explantion of the meaning! Was it just an everyday saying?
