I'm just excited that you are on it as well - nice to be able to chat with a fellow CF'er... Glad you are still going.

I've been keeping up with your tracker, good stuff - I've just been using this tumblog to track mine, but now (just today) I found logsitall.com - I use twitter quite a bit, and found them there, so I'm going to start logging there as well - plus its another easy way to hook up with other CF'ers...

I agree with you, the changing of WODs each day keeps it interesting and fun... there is NO dull moment! hehe

Re: timtipton.com

well you had Buster and James up there the whole time - for like 3 or 4 months, so I just assumed you had decided to only promote those guys... heh

it's all good - I actually did it when I saw you took me out, but I wanted to see if you even ever came here anymore...

I got you back in there man.

Re: timtipton.com

because you took me out! I'm ready for it to be over, for sure. uggh, i can't stand his screaming. I just don't get what people love about the guy, besides the way the media has just attached him as a mainstay...

Re: ouch

yeah, sucks major man. But he's gotta come through the other side, and he's pretty resilient ... when he finally puts his mind to it, it'll happen - he's just got to get through the initial hurt.

Thanks, the knee is a tad sore today as well...

The weights, well - the guy ended up selling them before I could get to 'em... so I STILL don't have any...

I'm back on the XFIT wagon - sometimes you have to stop and heal up though - Since I work in my volleyball and soccer games as "metcons" (sorta) I really don't take the prescribed Rest Days - so this time is my catch up on all those I've missed. I'll get it though. indeed.

Re: XFit - 20090427

yes, that is correct phil.

Re: XFit - 20090422

yes shipping weight is expensive - but there are some online places that include the shipping in the price - problem is for rubber you will pay around $500 for 300#...

They are similar - but I'm really working on the chest/tris and still looking to get to the 100 pushup mark, so I sub those in quite frequently. Plus, on the burpee, you don't actually do a push - so it's still working more muscle...

Re: XFit - 20090421

Yeah bro - that'd be cool - so what you should do is open up a crossfit gym this summer while you aren't teaching and you could do just that...

Phil - how'd the back squats go? It's important not to over do it right up front - you definately need to work your way up to the workouts - so I personally think you are going at it the correct way... Keep it up!

Re: XFit - 20090420

Yikes Z, that looks tough. I'll give it a go!

Thanks for the info on the Paleo - I'll email you soon about it - gonna pick up that book on Amazon; Still have some more questions about it - we're doing the abs diet at present - i'm not sure if I told you about that or not - I like it pretty good but am very interested in the Pal...

Phil - you bet I will - I'll take plenty of pics as well; although it might be a few weeks before I start on those projects - got alot going on at the moment.

Re: XFit - 20090420

that is AWESOME Phil!! I'm stoked for you to start really getting into it - you won't regret it! Here's the deal - I also still skip those workouts in which I don't have the equipment to do - but that's where substitution comes in - sometimes i'll just sub a different exercise for the one i don't have equipment for - while other days, i'll just pick a different WOD altogether. And don't worry about the lighter weights - it's a good move to go slow at first and ease your way in - plus - form is like 90% of the workout - if you are doing it in bad form, it's losing its effect; light weight and good form is what to concentrate on.

I'm also actively searching craigslist to try and pick up some of the equipment and i've found several "howto"s on building some of the things myself - so i'm going to DIY on some and I figure when I get all that stuff put together I'll be good to go.

Man, I'm so stoked you are going to join me in this. Very cool!

Re: XFit - 20090415

you know, opening a specific crossfit gym would be alot less equipment than a traditional gym, and I sincerely think it would be significantly cheaper as a startup. The equipment you need is much different than the regular "global" gym of globogym (as the Xfitters call 'em). I would LOVE to open one up in Keller - there's one about a half hour from here in the downtown ft. worth area - but that's not really doable for me, so opening one here would be most excellent!

Re: XFit - 20090415

Pood: Russian measure used for kettlebells; common ones: 1 pood =36 lbs; 1.5 pood = 54 lbs; 2 pood = 72 lbs. I have a pullup bar that goes on a door entrance, so I hang that to the closest door to the treadmill, then go to work.

Re: since when?

AHHH - nice knowledge chunk there Jace, thanks!

See, I always thought low mileage was anything lower than around 50k... regardless of age!!
