Robbie - huge, huge congrats. I know you've been a one man band for a while incubating StatSheet and 'paralleling' between work at BigCo - no easy task. It's amazing what you've accomplished to date and now that you can dedicate yourself to be a full-time entrepreneur with a dedicated team backed by Valhalla I'm convinced you're going to kill it and never look back. Have fun and just don't sell too early ;-)

It's easy to be cynical about these late coming endorsements that look self serving when it looks like an Obama victory is at hand.

The last two elections were very close and as a result there's been no real mandate for change behind one candidate. As a result we remain a divided country and nothing gets done on any of the big issues and problems that confront us. Just more division, mudslinging, and rhetoric. If this election is close we'll probably have more of the same, regardless of how dynamic a leader Obama proves to be.

If the writings on the wall for McCain, getting Powell and any other independent minded centrists outside the base to endorse Obama is really important. By continuing to build momentum by bridging our political, demographic, economic, and geographic differences through these types of endorsements, a marginal victory could be turned into an indisputable mandate. A broader mandate for a new Obama administration creates tremendous currency that should increase the likelihood that the talk of change will actually translate to real change.

Whether it's self serving or not, bring on the endorsements, it will only generate more momentum from outside the base, which is what is really needed for change.

Yes...probably one of the few paying customers. I'm actually buying more these days then in the past now that you can get DRM-free online....taken from CD's or Amazon, not iTunes ;-)
