Does anyone have experience tricking Facebook Pages into displaying a featured video and then two videos beneath it where the two videos are chosen by the Page admins? I see settings for Recent and Popular, and neither of those settings produces the content that we really want people to see.

Hi Rey - I am *pretty* sure that I used the "Report a problem" feature in the Ads platform. That started an email chain that I used to get a rep on the phone. I definitely expressed frustration with the first response by email, so the phone call could have been an escalation from that. It wouldn't hurt to suggest a call right away once you get a response.

The part of Facebook where you give Facebook money is about the only place where customer service exists. :)

To answer the frustrations posted below, I'll recount a quick chat that I had with a Facebook Ads rep recently. In December, we participated in the #GivingTuesday campaign and ran an ad whose image was probably 80-90% text. I wanted to test the new changes. It was approved almost immediately and never hit any roadblocks. The Ads rep noted that an algorithm checks first and gives a thumbs up/down, but between 12-36 hours after that, a human looks again. That explains some of the start/stop issues that people have mentioned.

In this case, the rep continued, the overall quality of the image (reflected in its Relevancy Score and lack of negative feedback) kept it from getting turned off. However, a few weeks later I ran another campaign where perhaps halfway through a 7-day promotion, two pieces of creative were blocked. They both were probably in the 25-35% text range. I used the "Request Manual Review" feature, which appears near the notification of a cancelled ad. One image made the cut and was turned back on and the other remained off for the duration of the campaign.

Charles - Progressives do have pretty solid ideas of right and wrong, but they don't make snap judgments about those ideas. And frankly, a lot of issues are pretty grey once you take more than a few seconds to think about them.

And there's a huge difference between "endless discussion" and substantive dialogue. As someone who has spent considerable time in such dialogue with Christians of all stripes (as well as other faiths and atheists), I can safely say that such conversations have deepened my own faith and made it easier for me to get closer to the black and white that you speak of.

But stereotyping progressives as wishy-washy babies is offensive and untrue. Generalities like that get us nowhere.
