There have been about 230 total, so the average is about 2.95/year.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;On October 2, 2006 the PI reported the following Aurora jumper deaths, by year:&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;1995: 4&lt;br&gt;1996: 2&lt;br&gt;1997: 3&lt;br&gt;1998: 2&lt;br&gt;1999: 1&lt;br&gt;2000: 2&lt;br&gt;2001: 2&lt;br&gt;2002: 4&lt;br&gt;2003: 3&lt;br&gt;2004: 3&lt;br&gt;2005: 5&lt;br&gt;2006: 7&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;I've worked right next to the bridge for the last ten years, and 4-6 deaths/year for the last few years sounds about right.  I'm sure if had been more than the 2006 number, we would have heard about it.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Contrast that with the Ship Canal, which in the same period averaged one per year.
