I am taken aback by the kindness of a stranger!

It is not so prudent to reveal my particular malady (insurers are dogs.)

But after nearly a year of being sick, I am near-well. And my mother, in an act of kindness abetted by an "incurable" fresh-off-the-boat fresh-i-tude, did buy me several months supply of both red *and* blue flavored Gatorade.

Thanks for the well-wishes. It truly means a lot.

Ah. Perhaps not onomatopoeic serendipity (for what *is* the sound of chewing a nectacotum?! is it like the sound of one hand clapping in that the downside is that one must have the other hand lopped off to know?) but serendipity all the same.

I imagine if such a book had been serialized, it would have been the 24 of the 16th (century.)

* How Gargantua did eat up six pilgrims in a salad

Wanted to send a "congratulations" your way. Perhaps these life event markers are anti-climatic, and we do these things for our loved ones...but it's only much later we realize that in the process, we've done something for ourselves, too, by simply allowing the family to show us that they care.
(I tried to skip my ceremonies, too.)

I'm always impressed with what you have to say, and, even more, how you say it. And fantastic taste!

Hi -

The Lyric Opera is Chicago's world class opera. The season is nearly ending, and the new season opens in October.

The tickets are extraordinarily expensive. You can pay up to $170 for orchestra (floor) seats. I am a student, and I use this wonderful program called "Next Student Tickets." It's an outreach education program that allows you, as a student, to buy tickets for $20 (2 per student.) I use it and get incredible seats, sometimes worth $170 per ticket.
