It's interesting that lefties have selective memory when it comes to the Jon Stewart Crossfire show.

Stewart insulted the idea of Crossfire, which was simply a debate show on CNN, and had been for a decade. Tucker countered that Jon's show is no more "news" and he countered by saying he came on after puppets (ie comedy instead of news) so it was ok. The deep irony of it is that after that exchange, leftie kids started taking satire news as fact. It was a badge of honour among kids in college in the 2000s to declare that they get their news from Stewart/Colbert/SNL. Fake news indeed.

Any sane person knows that most of CNN isn't "news", and wouldn't be so naive to expect it. The fact that Stewart put this point out, and Carlson wasn't able to counter it more effectively made me respect Carlson less as a debater. Jon Stewart was a poor quality guest who went off script and attacked the show, it shouldn't be a surprise that the hosts weren't prepared, but I was nonetheless disappointed in Tucker's so called debating prowess.

I think the bigger issue is Democrats don't want jobs.

This deal was made untenable by the Governor and Mayor who negotiated it by making each job cost $200,000 in future tax rev.

That's a lot. Car companies typically get in the $25-50,000 range when they build factories for political reasons.

NYC and State are incompetent and live off the grandeur of history to shield their ignorance. Anyone from a hostile environment knows that city dems couldn't make it through a single winter.

Hoover Dam was dedicated as such by 1947 act of congress, not FDR E.O. like Jeff Greenfield suggests above. Before 1947 it was known as the Boulder Dam. In 1947 both house and congress were Republican majority. Sounds like ol'nitpicky Jeff Greenfield needs to brush up on his history.
