It is so disturbing to watch Lidge stroll to the mound in the 9th and know that he is getting ready to give up at least one run and the only hope is it stays there and the Phils get to play extra innings. This is a complete joke.

Averaged 2.7 runs a game the past 10 games (stats courtesy of ESPN) and they've gone 6-4. Just think if there was just a bit of offense?

Yes, minus a scorching July, this team continues to be horrible with timely hitting and always counting on the long ball. The same thing happened in last year's regular season and playoffs where great pitching ruled. It's time to hold Milt Thompson accountable or somebody, let's shake up these hitters.

Fire Milt Thompson, this team scratched last year and this year - so many wasted opportunities.

Yet, regardless of the lead on Saturday, Lidge would've blown it.
