I believe they only went through this exercise for selected items...to show how it might look. I'm guessing that dozens (if not hundreds) of other items make up the other $2000+. For example I don't believe I see Federal Prisons or the Women, Infants and Children (WIC) program or the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) formerly known as food stamps.

You're very fortunate. His show was on earlier this year and I wasn't allowed to turn it off (I was in someone else's home). Beck is like Limbaugh on crack. Very surreal and scary.

Hi Ben, I totally agree with this article. However, I have dealt with so many websites that the server for the ads is incredibly slow (or not working) and then the site content doesn't load (or takes minutes instead of seconds). I think Ars has created a work around for this but most website have not. I've played around with the "enabling" (i.e. white list) function in AdBlock Plus (my Firefox add-on) but it never quite works for me. Do you have a recommendation for an AdBlocker that has a better white list function?
