An executive producer doesn't have to do anything, but in Nolan's case, as the "Godfather" (DC's terminology, not mine), he has tons of say. Also from my time out in Hollywood, one of the things I learned on day one, to my dismay, is that an Executive producer can do nothing, OR they can override the entire film and become a second hand director with more say than the Actual director because they control the money. The flop of BvS is the reason you can't find his name anywhere on it as executive producer on most forums including IMDB.

Batman v Superman is not the point so the Eisenberg thing just won't be addressed. If Diana is in WW1 - Dark tones are not out of place, also its a standalone and has nothing to do with Justice League. Nolan was Executive producer on BvS. He played a hand.

I don't see the problem with DCU being dark. Growing up reading comics, that use to be something DC readers touted over Marvel comics. If you wanted darker more complex stories, you read DC, DC Vertigo, or Image comics. It doesn't matter if the movie is dark in tone as long as it is good right? In all fairness her modern incarnations have been heavily darker in tone and more like classic Greek tragedy when it comes to conflicting influences (personal or outside factors). People are being overly cynical of the films in reaction to Batman v Superman and need to calm down. Most of DCs main characters are tortured individuals and those who aren't have had reboots in their comics that made them more tragic. A good movie is a good movie. The tone doesn't make it better or worse.

I honestly think the only way to do this well is to have a silly aspect to it. The premise itself is silly. If it were something more Hardcore sounding I would have more criticism of the picture, but as it stands, It's Hansel and Gretel. All is fair game. I like Jeremy Renner, and if he saw something in being a part of the film, I will go with that for now.

I personally loved the movie. I heard people were disappointed by it but maybe I just didn't go in with the idea that it was going to be more than a popcorn action flick with a little story and an always loveable Harrison Ford. I was entertained.

I agree with everything except the one with the guitar in it. I think that actually looks kind of cool. I do feel however that someone like Stuart Townsend was born for these images.

I Hate these films, but they are strange. Unlike most films, they get BETTER with each sequel/prequel. The story for these films have been atrocious but I really felt like the last film that was the prequel did wonders to try to cover for them. I am willing to see how this feels come closer to release date.

The R rated LFoDH was amazing and it pisses me off that they wont release it on blu ray. My roommate has the only copy of even the dvd unrated that ive seen with my own eyes. Die Hard could never suck lol!

Absorbing man was a horrible idea. I agree that the first movie had something that normal comic films did not, but it also had things that no one would EVER want in a film. Like horrible dialogue, character disprepancy (Choking Betty), The Hulk fighting water as an end battle, Mutated poodle (dogs in general) etc. I liked the artistic style the film was shot in but TIH was not a horrible or overrated movie (Check the gross. It was way underrated). I loved both movies even having said all this but i still believe the perfect movie would have been a splice of both.
Oh and to the dude that said that Hulk added a psychological aspect, I would like to ask. Did it add a psychological aspect, or did it ruin story/cannon to create a psychological aspect that was way over the top for what it was? I Believe it was way over the top. They spent so much time being psychological that they almost ruined the greatness of the Hulk by showing him twice in an hour and 45 minutes before the ending which was short and lackluster as a climax.

I would probably go see this movie before going to see cowboys and aliens if the damn thing would get a US release and come out sooner rather than later. I am very unhappy with having to wait to see this film and would very much like to see it now.

I still dont understand why people continue to complain about the price "hike". I get two dvds at a time and unlimited instant watch for 23 dollars. How is that a price hike. It's only 5 dollars more than what it did cost. Also, the other options are overpriced cable (120 dollars at least with movie channels and dvr) or risking IP infringement for downloading, which could cost 3k or more if legal suits follow there current trend. People are way too quick to complain about nothing at all.

Agreed! The script was horrid. I honestly felt if they left out the henchman, and developed the finale more, it would have been solid. The Henchman were made up to be badass and then dispatched from the film in a combined 7 minutes lol! I liked the visuals, I liked cage as blaze, the script just didn't really capture the whole "Spirit of Vengeance" thing or the intensity of the character.

I honestly wonder how long Hollywood is going to recycle these films and murder the growth of cinema by not letting new directors/screenwriters into the door. How many times must we see the same story? How many older films will they stigmatize by making people not care because of horrible remakes/re-tellings. I am honestly only pumped for a few things coming in the future.

A trailer for Ghost Rider II - so I know what to think though I cant help but see it.

I will probably see way more movies than this, but these are the ones on my radar as being something at least a little different.

Actually it has. I was unaware of this until about 2 years ago but there are alot more people who loved that film than anyone would believe by just being told. I for one gave it a look see for about the 3rd time, 2 months ago. I honestly think it was way better than people give it credit for. It wasn't a dark knight, but it wasn't a Postal by far. I liked Stallone as Dredd and honestly wouldn't mind seeing him get another shot.

From what I could tell, the only thing that was cheesy about the film is the world that its in and the iconic costume of dredd. You can't change that. I honestly really liked the storyline and felt the guy who played rico was perfect.

Cage is just an awesome individual. I would love to have a drink with him and hang out. He is another actor that, as he gets older, will have a ton of good roles heading his way. I like to think of when he reaches Michael Caine age/status. Nic Cage just seems like everybody's drunk/crazy/slightly rich uncle that you always hear (good and bad) about but only get to see Every 3rd Christmas.

Just an all around great man. I think there are going to be tons of rolls opening up for him as he gets older. He is developing the "fun father" look and maybe the "cranky guy at the office/ prick boss" mold. I'd just love to see him in anything. I still need to catch up on burn notice.

I would also like to see this. I was 50/50 on the anime just because ninja ninja was too much for me. But if they could tone him down a little bit I would be really gracious and supremely pumped. I would love to see live action versions of the monks. The group Rappagariya would have to be 3 of em. There will have to be a no name in the lead roll. I gotta check out Dante Carver.....(checking)....Not seeing it, but I also haven't seen him before so i'd give him a chance.

My only problem with the reboot was the taking it back to high school to pass for kiddy fare, and the fact that this starts his maturity and power prowess over again. Hence the ramp up to him knowing what he's doing is a revelation I don't need to see again and is a waste of time. This trailer makes me think they are legitimately just trying to start back over and won't spend TOO much time in Spidey High. I still think they should have just started a new trilogy with the darker edge, showing a more maturing and hardcore Spider-man really fighting for his life against a well done venom and leading to carnage (Of course I still want Maximum carnage). All in all, it looks good and its a great trailer. For those that say they haven't seen Mirrors Edge, GO check it out. I am so pissed they aren't making a sequel. Good thing the story didn't leave off on a cliffhanger.
