Thank you for writing this. I have been to the protest and the park, and I can honestly say that I've never felt so proud to be an American, and so touched that people are waking up and getting involved. I am so sickened by the majority of the media coverage of the protests. And I agree 100% with everything you wrote. Can't wait to go back down there again.

I say go for it! But then again I am a coward when it comes to my family too. I've been wanting to go back to dying my hair blue like it was in high school but I'm sure they would think I was going through a personal crisis if I suddenly started again as a full fledged adult...

Ha, the funny thing is a few weeks ago I saw a girl rocking a similar look with a shitload of randomly placed hairclips and bobby pins all over her head like a crown. I kinda dug it on her, but no, I think I would pass on this look for myself. I have enough hair problems as it is!

Adorable outfit. I have a similar black floppy hat, but it's made of rabbit fur felt, which doesn't lose its shape as quickly. Normal felt will lose its shape as soon as it gets semi-damp, and then you have to take it to a hat maker and have it re-blocked. Pain in the ass, but it shouldn't cost much.

I can't wait to see how the jacket comes out! Coincidentally, we bought some similar plastic fabric for a DIY Alexander McQueen inspired sequined dress we made a few months ago, but had trouble with it because our DIY plastic sequins started sticking to one another, so we had to intersperse them with sequins made from another fabric...
